I never thought that Barbie would be the cultural phenomenon that would take me out of my writing hibernation but here we are.

Read up and go watch the film yesterday.

I have very recently had a spiritual reunion with one of my cousins. We have of course loved one another, and actually have pretty much been thinking in similar ways, but we somehow just landed on …

We would like to thank everyone who joined The Book Club on Saturday and the lovely interaction, conversation and exchange we had. That really was something special. Special thanks to Modus Vivendi Holidays for the incomparable hospitality, Spyros Anastasiou for the patience of sculpting in time and Sofia Anastassiou for the welcoming into her own visuality of the world.

This was quite an emotional one for us, taking into consideration that Bruno Latour has passed the previous Sunday. For those of us, that think of ourselves as thinkers, we owe it to his work to continuously loop around the meanings deserving to be fought for and the eco-criticism that would eventually lead us finally closer to Gaia. See you at the next one

Hello lovely people. This might come as out of the blue, when taking into consideration the amount of time that has passed since the event took place, yet we can not ignore the moments we are asked to act up.
-
It has come to our attention that there has been a specific "breach" of the safe space conditions we tried so hard to create by people taking videos of the night and one being made public.
-
We would like to apologize firstly on behalf of the people that "exposed" the attendees and secondly, as a team since we failed to deliver what it is we promised. A safe, un-documented moment were we are all present, with no hierarchies. As you understand mistakes happen and people have their own processes of dealing with respect and understanding, which is something we also have to respect.
-
We would like to assure you though that we do not take these matters lightly. Everyone is held to the same standards of responsibility once joining the space we all contribute to.
Thus, that said individual will be banned from the following QQ parties.
-
We want to assure everyone that our primary goal, is, was and always will be to cater to the creation of the safest space possible for the q***r community first, to express whatever they feel like, in a consensual, respectful, unapologetic and politically engaged way.
Something which we will try even harder to apply, at the next edition taking place December 16th.

"Futurity is, for me, not a question of “hope”—though it is certainly
inescapably intertwined with the idea of aspiration. To me it is crucial to think about futurity through a notion of “tense.” What is the “tense” of a black feminist future? It is a tense of anteriority, a tense relationship to an idea of possibility that is neither innocent nor naïve. Nor is it necessarily heroic or intentional. It is often humble and strategic, subtle and discriminating. It is devious and exacting. It’s not always loud and demanding. It is frequently quiet and opportunistic, dogged and disruptive. The grammar of black feminist futurity that I propose here is a grammar of possibility that moves beyond a simple definition of the future tense as what will be in the future. It moves beyond the future perfect tense of that which will have happened prior to a reference point in the future. It strives for the tense of possibility that grammarians refer to as the future real conditional or that which will have had to happen. The grammar of black feminist futurity is a performance of a future that hasn’t yet happened but must. It is an attachment to a belief in what should be true, which impels us to realize that aspiration. It is the power to imagine beyond current fact and to envision that which is not, but must be. It’s a politics of prefiguration that involves living the future now—as imperative rather than subjunctive—as a striving for the future you want to see, right now, in the present."
