The Australian Heavy Metal Hall of Fame is here to honour the bands and/or artists that blazed the trail so to speak for the future generations

The voting process will be done privately and anonymously to prevent any kind of shenanigans. The nomination criteria is:
- The band and/or artist has to be recognised as Australian (citizenship does not matter, only band and/or artist origins)
- The band

and/or artist has to be Heavy Metal (or sub-genre of Heavy Metal)
- The band and/or artist has to have recorded in Australia at least once
- The band and/or artist has to have had an album released in Australia at least once
- The band and/or artist has to have had to be around for 20 years old (this does not mean that have to have active for 20 years)
- The band and/or artist has to have made a lasting impression on the Australian Heavy Metal community
- There will several bands and/or artists nominated but only one will be inducted
- The inductee will be chosen by an anonymous committee of their peers
