This Heroes Month, that's a discussion we'd like you to be part of. DAKILA Katipon invites you to BAWAL MAGING BAYANI!: A Discussion on Heroism with a Kontrabida Point-of-View, which will be held at the DAKILA Headquarters on August 26, 2022, from 5 PM to 7 PM.

With our friends from cinema, the media, and the academe, let us delve into the phenomenon of villains, real and fictional: who they are, their history, their motivations, and the threat they present to our society. In this wide-ranging discussion, you'll find out more about the menace of evil and how to triumph over it, as our on-screen hero counterparts have done time and time again.

Si Richard R. Gappi ay Editor ng Angono Rizal News Online. Pinarangalan ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Angono noong 2012 ng Gawad Dangal ng Bayan sa larangan ng Sining, Pagsulat at Pagtula. Dalawang ulit siyang naging Fellow sa Tula sa UP National Writers Workshop (1996 at 2013) at Fellow sa Tula sa Iyas De La Salle National Writers Workshop.

Bilang manggagawang pangkultura, siya ang founding president ng Neo-Angono Artists Collective at Angono 3/7 Poetry Society, at tagapangasiwa ng taunang Angono Summer Writers Workshop. May pitong aklat-tula na siyang naisulat at naedit.

Nagtapos siya sa Taytay Elementary School, Juan Sumulong Jr. Memorial College, at ng B.A. Philippine Studies (Major in Political Science and History) sa UP Diliman kung saan naging editor siya ng Philippine Collegian. Nag-aral at kumuha rin siya rito ng units sa M.A. Malikhaing Pagsulat (Tula) at naging guro/lecturer sa Kolehiyo ng Arte at Literatura.

Walong taon din siyang naging lecturer sa College of Mass Communication sa University of Rizal System Angono. Halos 35 taon nang naninigilan sa Venus Compound, Angono si Ser Gappi, na asawa ni Leah at tatay ni Intoy Tacloban.
