One of the greats of Australian music is gone. A great story teller for his people and the world. This was an interview I conducted back in 2018 just after the release of his album “Dancing With My Spirit” and thought it worth repeating to pay tribute to a great man. Vale Archie Roach.

Our album this week comes from Ed Sheeran who can only be described as a phenomenon having sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Our choice is = ("equals"), his 4th studio album released in 2021. This week’s album is “Temple of Low Men” released in 1988 by Crowded House and showcasing the talents of singer songwriter Neil Fin who wrote all the tracks. It peaked at #1 in Australia, #2 in New Zealand. The featured album this week comes from Amy Winehouse and is her 2nd and final studio album “Back To Black” released in 2006. It sold 3.58 million copies in the UK alone and over 16 million copies worldwide. The featured album this week comes from Joan Armatrading and is “Back To The Night”, considered something of a transitional work between the singer/songwriter folk of her first album and the warmer melodies of her breakthrough self titled effort. Our album of choice is entitled “Later That Same Year” from Iain Matthews Southern Comfort released in 1970. Iain Matthews, the founder of the band, has performed as both a solo artist, and as a member of various bands. He was a founder member of Fairport Convention before forming Matthews Southern Comfort in 1969.
