Chemistry lab at home. A coffee saucer makes a good watch glass. Alcohol burner instead of Bunsen burner. The ringstand base isn’t long enough to work with the ringstand clamp and ring. Somehow we have a second ringstand base and that works but a cutting board also works well.

It turns out that when you completely ignore your website for a period of time while teaching all the homeschool subjects.... it gets hacked. SO. Still here, just don't have a way to sell the ebooks right now until I have time to fix it. We carry a simple high school lab manual for Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Teaching Science at Home since 1992

In the early nineties, the founder of Homeschool Science Press was homeschooling 4 children and recognized a need for legitimate science instruction. With a background in Zoology and Geology, the author of our science labs was well versed in the methods of science and knew what she wanted to teach to her own children.

Castle Heights Press, Inc., was born with a Chemistry lab manual as its first book. We have sold thousands of copies since then. The name is new, Homeschool Science Press, and the ownership is new, having been passed on to one of those homeschooled kids!

In the past 10 years, under new ownership, we have shut down the presses to focus on our own homeschooling. Now that we have a few years of that under our belt, we are looking at re-opening the printing presses. In the meantime, our lab manuals and many of our unit studies can be found online in e-Book format for you to teach your own children the tools of science.
