International Dog Day 🐾 🐶

Dogs are more than just pets; they’re incredible companions that enrich our lives in so many ways. From getting us outside for that much-needed fresh air & daily routine, to offering unconditional love, dogs truly have a magical way of boosting our mental health.

Whether it’s a wagging tail after a long day or a quiet moment of cuddles, their presence reminds us to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the little joys in life. Environmental Sustainability x Mental Health Awareness = Headstrong Ocean Bottles!

We are delighted to have teamed up with for our very own branded reusable water bottles that will feature in our episodes throughout 2024.

This innovative collaboration brings together two organisations dedicated to making a positive impact on our planet and in our minds.

Ocean Bottle is turning the tide on ocean-bound plastic. Each Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 1000 plastic bottles in weight. So far, Ocean Bottle has collected 14,164,500 kilograms of plastic via its partners: grassroots organisations in coastal communities in countries such as Indonesia, India and Ghana. This is the equivalent to 1 billion plastic bottles in weight.

Their powerful mission aligns seamlessly with Headstrong’s dedication to breaking down mental health stigmas and encouraging open conversations and reinforcing that vulnerability is a strength.

On the 8th May, we’re proud to support The Nick Kilhams Foundation, a charity with a deeply meaningful mission.

Nick Kilhams tragically took his own life one Saturday morning in May 2021. It was his second attempt within four weeks. His family and friends had no idea of the internal struggle he’d been dealing with for years. Although his closest loved ones rallied to get him the support he needed, it was too late.

The Foundation aims to keep Nick’s memory alive in the market he was passionate about and to raise awareness about mental health. Nick was loved and respected by many, yet his internal battles remained hidden from those closest to him.

Through The Nick Kilhams Foundation, we hope to shed light on these issues and honor Nick’s legacy by helping others before it’s too late.

This wonderful charity was set up in memory of Charlie Watkins, who tragically took his own life in March 2017.

1 in 4 people experience mental health issues each year. Su***de was the leading cause of death for males and females aged between five to 34 in 2019.

The Charlie Watkins Foundation aims to raise funds for partners of the foundation to better support young people who struggle with their mental health and wellbeing.
