I have this outlook on life right now that is so filled with gratitude… I’ve literally been given a second chance.

On March 1, I went into surgery to have my spleen and a part of my pancreas removed due to a cyst that was found in imaging. Turns out, that cyst was a very rare type that has a high propensity to turning malignant.

I got so lucky. It was caught early while benign, and though recovery has taken a bit longer than I’d prefer (2 UTI’s thanks to the surgical catheter, and a case of Flu A with my immune system that’s not quite 100% yet), I’m nearly recovered with just a few scars from the surgery to serve as reminders.

To say I have a new desire to slow down and really LIVE, be present, and enjoy each moment is an understatement. To be in my happiness, my purpose, my health, and my peace — and to let go of the rest.

I’m beyond ready to be back, to share, connect, love, and grow. Spring has arrived.

Now, time to shine brighter … and of course … to make a bit of noise while doing it 😘
