A few shots of my day trip to London to catch up with our core team, and Tom Fenton. As well as our special guest, .s.watson

Took the walk along the river, down by where I went to film school when I was 21. The last two shots are Tom getting stuck into the edit on the train, and the majority of the kit. The Canon C200 and the Canon EOSR. Add in the Black Magic 4K and some Rode mics, and you have almost everything you need for a great, and cinematic looking podcast.

It was great to pick up the Science Award with at the Nice International Film Festival for , during my time in the South of France. Especially, given that we are working on the sequel, and intend to collect data from the South Pole during our time out there in 2025.

It was also nice to brush up on my French, which has been getting a bit rusty since my last trips over there!

Out here in Nice and enjoying the experience so far at Nice International Film Festival. Looking forward to dipping my toe into Cannes Film Festival for the first time too tomorrow.

It's a great concept for a show, that requires a certain amount of booze consumption for both the host and t few guests.

It was great to pick up Best Director of a Documentary at the London FFI last week. Thanks to all of my friends and family who supported The Chase the day before at the screening.

Here I am with inventor and adventurer extraordinaire, Charles Werb, who took a chance on me by bringing me in as the film's director. We have some big (and very cold) plans for the end of 2024.

Will keep you all posted about the launch of this one, not too far off.

A beautiful stop off near Los Gigantes in western Tenerife

One of the highlights of visiting Tenerife was definitely seeing the pilot whales. We managed to catch them before they took a deep 20 minute dive as they hunt for squid.

Seeing these cetaceans in their natural habitat also helps to support the push against having such animals in captivity. Just down the road from Los Cristianos is Loro Parque where life expectancy is just a fraction of what it is in the wild.

Beautiful waters and dramatic skies in Playa del Duque, Tenerife

Had an amazing, and eventful week out in Dar Es Salaam and Zanzibar. First off the bat my phone was pickpocketed whilst shooting in the city centre, which threatened to derail the whole thing. Thankfully, after that incident, things went much smoother.

The show in Dar was exceptional, I've never seen people move like that to the Madalitso Band music. And it was one final episode in the documentary, the band had their first break in Zanzibar back in 2017, so we were able to retrace their steps in that exotic place.

The final phase was crossing the island to the lush side, with the best beaches I've ever seen. There was, however, one final drama in the sea the Stonetown side - where a speeding boat was pacing it straight for my head, thankfully I was able to swim out of the way in time, and made my way back to Bournemouth via ferry, plane and coach in the subsequent hours.

It was great to catch up with Neil Nayar once more, and also happy to be back home too!
