sic to the world. As a professionally trained vocalist, songwriter, lyricist, music producer and pianist, she specializes in Jazz, Soul, R&B, Pop and Classical. An old soul at heart, her influences are evident from the jazz greats including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and current artists such as Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Adele and Alicia Keys. In 2011, Najwa was awarded Best New Artiste at the AIM ( Malaysian Music Industry Awards). Her single, "Got to Go" received positive reviews and huge airplay on Malaysian radios. The single also won her another award at AIM for Best Local English Song. "I believe that music is a universal language that knows no boundaries.
