Fictional Films is an award-winning independent film and digital media production studio. Story is the foundation for providing a watchable movie experience.

A strong aspect of human nature is the craving for story, for narrative. Myths and stories provide not only a connection to each other but a deeper understanding of the human condition. Cinema has become a part of our communal language in our ability to relay stories to each other. Yet, film requires the management of many moving parts to tell the story effectively. A solid script is a good start,

but then other things have to be taken into consideration, cameras, acting, lighting, sound, etc. A good story is still essential, whether the tale is from the oral tradition like Homer or Beowulf, or playwrights like Shakespeare or even Pixar movies. However, viewers are more sophisticated now and expect more. The audience can be forgiving that a low budget talkie does not have CGI special effects, but there is an expectation that the lighting will be good, the camera angles will make sense and the actors’ dialogue will be heard.

We are proud to announce that our film Tillie's Great Escape written by Kate Danser & Rodney Reyes, Directed by Kate Kelsen and starring Diane L. Wilder, Rachel Skrod, Shamika Dhar, Alyson Fernandez, Jonathan Weirich, Michelle Santiago del Valle are official selections of the Chain NYC Film Festival and the Broad Humor Film Festival!

The Chain NYC Film Festival will screen our film on Monday, August 8th at 6:30pm at the Chain Theatre, 312 W 36th St, NYC. Tickets can be bought at https://chainfilmfest2022.eventive.org/schedule/62c753373f5de900362e5257

The Broad Humor FIlm Festival will screen our film on Labor Day Weekend in California! (More info to come!)

Hey FF-ers!

I know, I know its been quite some time since we last had a chat.

We have been working very hard behind the scenes on our latest project “TILLIE’S GREAT ESCAPE” (coloring, sound design, editing, music)

 We posted a still and the intro of the film last year but now here’s the official poster for the film!

A trailer is currently in the works and we have started the film festival submissions!

This was a film we worked on over the summer with a small crew in two different states (Philadelphia and Colorado) and we’re really proud of everyone who was involved!

The cast + crew you see below did tremendous work and we hope to bring the film to you so you can see it! So without further ado:

YO FF-ERS!

We also want to mention that our music video “I’m Staying Right Here” directed by Daryl Denner and the song written, composed and performed by Florianna Heun & Emanuel Vizzotti for our feature film Unspoken has since we last posted been in a few festivals, nominated for some awards and won one!

Heck Yeah! Congratulations to Flo and Manny, who did an outstanding job with the song, allowing us to use it in the film and for being frequent collaborators with Fictional Films for the past few years!

The music video has been making the rounds in the Prison City Film Festival in Huntsville, Texas, Sunny Side Up Film Festival in Miami, Oklahoma, New York Independent Cinema Awards in NY and the Lovesick Film Festival in NJ!

And we won an award for Best Music Video in the Prison City Film Festival in Huntsville, Texas! Huge thanks to them for selecting our film and even just nominating us!

Hi FF-ERS!
I know it's been a long time since we lasted posted here in "THE" Faceboook but that doesn't mean we haven't been working behind the scenes.

Our feature film, Unspoken, short film Offline and music video I'm Staying Right here are still in the film festival circuit and we have racked up some great official selections at festivals, a bunch of nominations and won some awards for our films!
