he production spirals out of control. Ultimately Billie visits the man who wrote the Deliverance Manual, who wants him to accept Jesus, and then undergoes an exorcism. After traveling into the belly of the beast, Billie and the remaining the crew come out with an awkward comedic lightness about the whole journey. 40 Days reflects on where the miracles are, and whether, in fact, this entire story was simply self-delusion and the power of suggestion…or whether it was in fact the opportunity of truly being saved. http://www.40daysthemovie.com

Nestled in the vast landscapes of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, there is a small town in Oklahoma that has been putting on the same play for the last 88 years. With a cast of hundreds representing all generations and boasting audiences of up to 250,000 in its hey day, this replica of Jerusalem is the site of the longest running passion play in America and it’s all about Jesus. Our big story begins with the announced retirement of the man who has been playing Jesus for the last 8 years and the young man who is taking over his role has a big secret that he has been hiding from everyone: He is a Buddhist. With their director recovering from a heart attack, not to mention the ongoing issues with the new lighting system, tensions are running high. Under the watchful eye of the suspicious Holy City caretaker, our young Jesus fears the rejection from this strong, Christian community, and worries that if they found out, they would not let him play the role. As his panic builds, the community struggles to prepare for opening night.
