Steve’s adventure in the music biz started at Enigma Records in Los Angeles before moving to Seattle in the early 90s to work for Virgin and ARTISTdirect Records.

Happy 33rd…to the #1 best selling record in history!

We were originally given a Nevermind mobile from our lovely x rep and West Seattle resident . We had it in the store for years and then it got stolen. We were bummed. She would later find one in her garage about 10 years ago and gave us another one (this one).

Susie invited us to the record release party at The Re-Bar (1114 Howell St) Sep 13,1991…about 2 weeks before its official release.

Yes. It’s true a cake fight ensued. Started by Kurdt himself! We were all covered in cake ! The owners were so upset they kicked the band out of their own party! The band was laughing so hard piling into their van parked directly in front of the bar while the owners continued yelling at them as they drove off. We all stayed and listened to what would go down in history as one the greatest records in the history of recorded music.

On Sep 24, 1991 the record was released and changed the course of music forever, thank u Nirvana ! Btw…do u recall what other records were released that day? One of the greatest street dates in history! Let’s hear the chatter !
