Kalyana Rural, 10) Bemalkheda, 11) Hokrana, 12) Dhannur police station officers attacked spit and mataka gambling in their respective police station and confiscated cash total A.K. 74,850=00 rupees and registered case against the accused.

Appreciated the work of the officer and staff who worked hard in the attack.

Two low-intensity earthquakes recorded in Bidar

Bidar :- Two tremors with magnitudes of 1.9 and 2.1 on the Richter Scale respectively were recorded by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) Network in Bidar district early on November 5.

The KSNDMC officials, however, made it clear that the magnitude and intensities observed in the earthquakes were very low and did not harm the local community.

As per the information provided by the KSNDMC officials, the first earthquake with a magnitude of 1.9 on the Richter Scale was recorded at 04:22:58 a.m. Its epicentre was 1.7 km north-northeast (NNE) of Waddankera village at Madargaon Gram Panchayat in Humnabad Taluk, Bidar District.

The second earthquake with a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter Scale was recorded at 06:04:10 a.m. having the same epicenter

The epicentre of the earthquakes is o 1.9 km west of Nimbura village at Sitalgera Gram Panchayat, 2.1 km south-southwest (SSW) of Allura village at Madargaon Gram Panchayat, (both in Humnabad taluk) and 12 km east-northeast (ENE) of Humnabad Taluk and 11 km north northeast (NNE) of Chittaguppa Taluk.

“As per the Seismic Intensity map of the above Earthquakes from the Epicentre, the intensity observed is very low and the tremor might be felt up to a radial distance of 20-25 km from the epicentre. These types of earthquakes would not create any harm to the local community as the intensities observed are very low, though there might be local vibrations felt. The epicentre falls in Seismic Zone II and the region is void of any structural discontinuities as per the Tectonic map. The community need not panic as the magnitude and intensities observed are very low,” the KSNDMC Director noted in the alert that was later released to the media

Certificates presented to Air Force graduates in Bidar

Air Marshal R. Radhish, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command, Indian Air Force, presented certificates to those who completed stage III and IV training in the Hawk Operational Training Squadrons at the valedictory ceremony of 209 Pilots Course and 24 Weapons Systems Operators Course (WSOC) at Air Force Station in Bidar on Monday.

The graduating pilots and weapon system operators have completed 52 weeks of training on the Hawk Mk 132 fighter aircraft. The flying officers were also awarded a trophy for overall order of Merit in Pilots Course and Weapons System Operators Course.

Bidar :- Bidar district records 62.66% polling turnout.

Bhalki records highest turnout with 74.84%

Bidar district comprising six Assembly constituencies recorded a voter turnout of 62.66% on Wednesday.

The polling percent was recorded at 17.5 till 11.00 am. The scorching heat did not deter the enthusiasm of the voters. Even though voting started at a brisk pace, polling percentage reached 37.11% by 1.00 p.m. and hovered at 61.93% by 5 p.m. and was 62.66% by the end at 6.00 p.m.

Bhalki Assembly constituency recorded the highest polling percentage of 74.84%, while Bidar South recorded 56.8% - the lowest among all the six Assembly segments.
Aurad Assembly constituency recorded a poll percentage of 65.27%, and Basava Kalyana 63.02%. Humnabad Assembly constituency recorded 58.32% and it was 57.4% in Bidar city

BRIMS student committed su***de

Bidar :- A 22-year-old MBBS student committed su***de by jumping off a seven-storey building in Bidar on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Srirama Kadagi.
According to police, Srirama was a final-year medicine student at the Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS). He was residing at the BRIMS hostel and committed su***de in the morning.
Police explain that Srirama hailed from Chitaguppa taluk of Bidar district. He was dejected and under depression after the death of his father. Srirama was the topper in the college. More details of the case are yet to emerge

BIDAR:- The state government has proposed to turn Hosapete and Bidar into solar cities in a Rs 1,323.5-crore project that also includes two floating solar plants of 200 MW capacity in the backwaters of Tungabhadra and Karanja reservoirs.
Detailed project reports for generating a total of 270.5 MW of power to provide for the needs of the two cities have been submitted to the Union Government.

According to the plan, Bidar and Hosapete will go green by 2025. The two cities were selected in keeping with the Centre’s guidelines which placed equal emphasis on the city’s place in history as much as its solar potential, which is quite rich in several parts of the state,” an official looking into renewable energy projects in Karnataka.

Woman delivered a Boy During Train Journey from Yeshwantpur to bidar.

Bidar:- A pregnant woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy inside a moving Train ( Yeshwantpur to Bidar Train(16571) ) on 10-03-2022 (Thursday) coach no S8.
The Co-passengers Mr Deepak (A Nursing staff from BRIMS Bidar) assisted the woman while she was in labour.
As couple where travelling from Bengaluru to sedam during this journey incident happened in between Gauribidanur and Hindupuram
mother and the child were in good condition.
