‘Drang’ (from the German, meaning impulse, push, persistence) is the new album by Stromboli (Maple Death Records, Oltrarno Recordings), the project of Bologna-based musician Nico Pasquini. Encompassing pulsating noise, propulsive percussion, as well as moments of ecstatic flight, the album depicts a post-human world of ambiguous sentience, where the distinction between humanity and simulation has become ill-defined and illusory. In this sense, ‘Drang’ represents a paradoxical vision of rarefied perception and indeterminate forms, vivid energy and unfamiliar resonances, bold revelation and concealed currents.

“Childhood in a small town is always bitter-sweet, it is always a match between shadows and lights, between existential loss and redemption. And each thought behind it is an eternal return, a vortex of sounds and smells that breaks the legs and strikes the senses.
The DJ/producer A-Tweed (Multi Culti/Tresor/Hard Fist), from Molise but based in Rome for years, retraces life in the 1990s in Vazzieri, a district on the outskirts of Campobasso (at the time almost open countryside), in central-southern Italy. The result is two downtempo tracks, very dark and deep, blending weird alienating synths and a raw and hard rhythm section”

Polyterative is a multidisciplinary artist who intersects his interest in design, code, and sound to create a unique sensory experience. His latest album, RULED BY CODE, delves into the complex relationship between humanity and technology. Dark, atmospheric, and gritty soundscapes confront the listener with the question of who truly holds the reins in our digital age. With his music, Polyterative explores the impact of artificial constructs on our lives, and the impact of a possible future where the virtual and real become indistinguishable.

The artist is known for utilizing complex chains of processing to achieve his sound, which incorporates the use of modular synthesizers and a large quantity of distortion modules. He is a member of the Bologna modular collective, with whom he has performed live in the past. His primary influences include artists such as Tommy for Seven, Lorn, and Ansome.

su numerose etichette discografiche in Europa, Stati Uniti, Russia e Giappone, e si è esibito in
importanti contesti della scena elettronica internazionale. Ha collaborato, come disegnatore
del suono, nella macro-area delle arti performative con i Motus (per la trilogia "TUTTO
BRUCIA") e con NicoNote ("REGOLA"), tra le altre.

Bartolomeo Sailer,
inizia a sperimentare con la musica digitale all'inizio degli anni 90 con un computer Amiga. Dopo anni di residenza al Link di via Fioravanti ed un tour italiano con Autechre nel 1999 pubblica il suo primo disco solista con il nome Wang Inc. con Sonig (DE) - Trill Jockey (USA). Seguono un album su Bio-Hop (FR), un altro su Context (USA) e molti 12" e compilations (UK, J, DE, AT, YU, GR, IT) di cui l'ultimo sulla sua etichetta Random Numbers intitolato Mediterraneo. Nel 2021 ha pubblicato un disco insieme a Nico Note (storica voce del Cocoricò) intitolato Limbo Session 1 pubblicato da Rizosfera, finito tra i migliori dischi dell'anno per Blow Up.Si è cimentato anche con altri pseudonimi: Walking Mountains, White Raven, Dead As***le Rave.Compone regolarmente colonne sonore e ha collaborato con Yuri Ancarani, Toilet Paper, Irene Dorigotti, Basmati tra gli altri.Ha suonato con numerosi artisti internazionali, indagando per 2 decenni l'improvvisazione con le macchine. Alcuni di essi sono: Vincenzo Vasi, Roy Paci, Matmos. Ha suonato in numerosi festival europei, oltre ad aver girato tutto lo stivale. Cura l'etichetta Random Numbers, distribuita da Rush Hour (NL), insieme al socio Carlo Mameli aka BXP.

In these daunting yet precious circumstances, Italian producer Markeno has found his rhythm back, dusting off old records and re-approaching his past musical love affairs that he believed to be long forgotten.
Here, in the fertile limbo that connects past and future, "Dock lown (exploring)" is born: a 3-tracker release with a chameleonic nature and an undeniable groove, in which Markeno is able to tactfully combine different genres such as indie, post-rock, African music, electro and funk." 👇
