We are currently in the process of building our website, getting our submission manager, and preparing to file for 501(c)(3) status to better serve you! Scraps off the Welcome Mat is a biannual literary journal concerned with furthering the interest in and promoting the literary world. Our mission is simple: to provide the public the very best of the poetry and fiction realms. However, this is on

ly one of our intentions. Being that the interest in literature has declined substantially, we’ve found that it is very difficult for writers to receive compensation for what they do. Thus, we will be looking towards creating a space in which writers can be monetarily compensated when these types of funds become available.
