A 2020 study showed that 84% of #entrepreneurs experience #impostersyndrome, especially if they become successful leaders. It's no secret that it takes a specific type of intelligent, driven person to be a successful #businessowner. These same traits also bring a high level of self-awareness. When you combine heightened self-awareness with high cognitive ability and analytical nature, it's a recipe for spotlighting every flaw and failure. So, even if you're competent, you tend to zero in on mistakes and diminish your achievements. A typical (but misguided) way people try to overcome impostor syndrome is to push harder to "prove" that they're worthy. Unfortunately, this worsens the situation and inevitably leads to burnout. A few ways to overcome #impostorsyndrome is to always talk about your successes, notice your achievements, share your knowledge, and talk about the small wins. Imposter syndrome is inevitable for entrepreneurs, but you can overcome it. Akil Ahmed shared a moment with Isaac Hunja on how he deals with #impostersyndrome.
