A Swansea man who says the support gained from his guide dog has been life changing and hopes to help others get the same.

Alan Garner is supporting Guide Dog Guide Dogs Cymru's Puppy Appeal to help them raise funds to train more dogs who can support blind or partially sighted people to be more independent.

He told That's TV how their support has helped him get out and about.

A Llanelli woman says her partner would have bled to death if Prince Philip Hospital's minor injuries unit had not been open after an eight-inch shard of glass pierced his back.

Rachel Beckett's partner Dwayne suffered a deep wound when he fell through a glass greenhouse.

Rachel and Dwayne told That's TV how they believe being able to attend the MIU at the time they did saved his life.

A Swansea fundraisers have helped collect over £22,000 to support the training of guide dogs.

Guide Dogs Cymru's puppy appeal month has seen a variety of event across the city as they raise money to train new guide dogs for those in need.

Guide Dog Cymru's Deborah Rees told That's TV how guide dogs can open the world up for so many.

A Swansea man’s charity challenge inspired by his father’s cancer diagnosis surpassed its fundraising target reaching over £7,000.

Ken Goddard originally aimed to raise £5,000 for the South West Wales Cancer Centre, which cared for his aunty, Lucy Powell, who was diagnosed with breast and liver cancer.

Ken told That's TV that he was grateful his father could see him through the series of challenges before he passed away.

The RSPCA has revealed that the average length of time their animals are having to wait before someone adopts them has risen by almost a third in the last 5 years.

Three year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Billy, has been at Llys Nini Rspca for 285 days and Gary Weeks told That's TV that more specific requirements have made it challenging to rehome animals like Billy.

Evidence from a Neath Valley Project has revealed how heritage can improve people's lives.

The project saw the restoration of a Victorian colliery smithy as part of the community-run Craig Gwladys Country Park, engaging with young people from a local college to teach them building skills.

Swansea University historian Dr Alex Langlands, led the project and he told That's TV that he believes heritage is particularly important for places like Wales.

increased risk of collisions, as low lying sun, darker evenings and adverse weather can create poor visibilty on the roads.

Four Swansea students have completed a 270 mile cycle challenge to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis.

Tom, Louis, Rory, and Nathan all rode from London to Paris on a quad-tandem bike to draw attention to the charity, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, who support those with the condition.
