I recorded last weekend. I recorded the final keeper lead vocals to his gospel song "No Other Name." Gerome sang his heart out and sounded the best he's ever sounded! The release date is soon but not locked down yet.

Last weekend I recorded Doris Spain. In the studio with us was Mr. Avery Floyd Jr. who is a vocal coach. Doris has been working with him and he’s doing some amazing things with Doris. He’s wonderful!

I recently ran a vocal rehearsal for 3 singers working backing vocals for Gerome Harville's new song, to be released in a couple months. I wrote the vocal arrangement. We will be recording the keeper vocals this weekend. Stay tuned!

This is what comped drums looks like. A comp (composite) is taking all the best parts from all the different takes and putting them all together in one track. We call this the comp track. In this pic we see the 7 different drum tracks that have been comped. In Pro Tools it makes every different take a different color. For this new song I’m producing for Spain, I recorded the rhythm section (drums, bass, guitar) all together 15 times through. Then - comped it.

A couple weeks ago I hired a session drummer from Nashville to record on a song for an artist I am producing. Logan Todd is an amazing drummer. He wanted a vibe so I had to turn off the overhead lights. After working out ideas - two takes and we were done!
