Come Coricraft Concept store shop with me
📍This is the Green Point branch on Somerset Road (where Baby City used to be so loads of offstreet parking).
🫶🏾If you love arches as much as I do, this merchandise is irresistible to shop in these beautiful styled spaces. As for the herringbone brick floor, if anyone’s looking for floor renovation inspiration and this style, it’s here. 🫶🏾I love that it felt like you were shopping in a home look at the combinations in the way the items have been grouped together. Styled accessories in three groupings, clever. The showroom is presented as rooms. From bedrooms to living rooms, even featuring a fireplace in the lounge with grass cloth wallpaper and all the tools to build a fire.
🪑Finally, the take me home today furniture section I found answers such a great shopper challenge. One can shop a couch or furniture piece to take home today without having to wait for manufacturing.
💫I’d love to be back with more time to browse, and hopefully shop.
Make the viral floral ice balls with me 🧊🌸These are perfect for anyone hosting and cost next to nothing to make. Firstly, chop off flowers heads and pop inside balloons. Fill the balloons with water, directly from the tap is best. Filling is actually harder than it looks, note my wet tiles. Pop the flower and water filled balloons into the freezer overnight. Use scissors to cut away the balloons and reveal your floral ice balls. You can run the ice balls under water to make them super clear. I’m definetly going to making these for dinner parties coming up and live the way that the bigger ice balls take longer to melt.Share your thoughts on these in the comments below.
Some of you may be here for the first time, welcome. This is Good Finds, I’m Lee. Thank you for following the journey. 💫It’s great to say I’ve consistently shown up here for over three years and with an abundance mindset, and this community is amazing. I’m ready for more.
I love how GoodFinds has helped me find my daily dose of magic, even in tough times, and share what inspires me. Finding and seeing value where others can’t is what I love.
Social media is called “social” for a reason, being in this space has inspired me to share and keep up with social media trends. So here is a little bit about me.
I work my dream job - brand innovation at Heineken, based in South Africa but collaborating across the globe. I’m off to Amsterdam to visit head office for the first time in July. My favourite part of my job is working with some of the smartest minds to launch new brands.
I graduated from Stellies University with a science degree in Food. The drinks industry introduced me to my husband, keep your enemies close, and he encouraged me to pursue marketing. I completed a post-grad at AAA. I won my wedding dress, and our venue, Hidden Cape Town’s Centre for the Book, was insanely beautiful. My career took me to NYC just a few months after getting married. Every day, I documented and shared my capsule wardrobe during my six-month stay in Manhattan.
When I returned to SA, we bought and renovated our first home. A 1905 Victorian semi-detached heritage love affair. We’ve renovated another two since then and Stellenbosch is now our home. Creating a home that’s both stylish and comfortable is something I’m passionate about.
I have two gorgeous, demanding young kiddos, and we love spending time outdoors at the beach as a family. I love creative challenges - renovating & upcycling. DIYs make me happy, and I love transforming unexpected materials. Life is what you learn from it and I hope you’ll join me! May the Good Find you x
This adorable bunny-themed party for Vera was a big hit this weekend with her four year old guests {and their parents}. 🐰What I loved most about this set up was how it all came together - the old door, some plastic crates, fabric, my adorable decor in a box from the @boomboompartyshop, and how it all turned into this. It hit the right note in terms of organizing when @checkers_sa came through with the amazing Easter themed bunny goodness with cake, cake pops, and an ice your own biscuit station, just at the right time. The best part is that the birthday girl had the most memorable celebration at home with her friends and family. If you looking to adding cute bunny details to your home for Easter or planning a party, Rosalie from @boomboompartyshop has activated a code - ‘goodfinds’ at checkout. It gives you 20% off your basket and is valid until tomorrow Tuesday, 19 March.
Some-bunny is going to be 4 this month, and I used @boomboompartyshop as a one-stop shop to nail the flower-bunny theme. For last-minute planners, this is the site for you. For context, I ordered this haul online last Wednesday and received it Friday lunchtime. The convenience of ordering from home is obvious; your party arrives in a box without you having to trek around malls. You can do theme parties for all ages on this site and get some really unique offers between decor, favors, and birthday outfits for your kiddo. Come back next weekend and I'll show you how it's set up.

My @cholinga_co Ash bench was personally delivered to our building site last year by Debbie, owner of this beautiful business. I can't forget the contrast between a cluttered building site two weeks before move-in day and a beautiful new piece of furniture. The frustration at being behind schedule prompted me to take Debbie on a "home" tour, the best anxiety distraction and an excellent chance to learn more about her business. With Cholinga furniture, a sense of purpose prevails between creators; maintaining the tradition of handwoven techniques while infusing them with modern design. Cholinga means purpose in Chichewa, the primary language spoken in Malawi.
Our Ash bench in our home now has a purpose, an anchor to keep that which is gathered from the outside coming indoors. I love the shelf, and am looking forward to gathering shoes in a row here, as well as perhaps some home-grown vegetables here in a basket. A bench is a perfect companion for a bed, an entrance hall, or a storage nook. @cholinga_co offers a lovely range of benches, I spotted these benches @thebungalowhermanus and loved them. Debbie has generously given me a promo code to share, use GOODFINDS15 for 15% discount off site wide @cholinga_co up until 5 Feb 2024. Discount doesn’t extend to shipping fees and standard lead times apply (being 3 – 4 weeks)✨
Having a little bit of time off, and having become completely relaxed after the holiday season festivities, I have been able to scroll through some of our recent Stellenbosch Home renovation photos and videos, and set up some of my favourite post types - A Before and After Reel. This journey is that of our en-suite bathroom vanity transformation which was probably one of the biggest calls in our Stellenbosch home renovation. The design of the room and size of the bathroom didn't allow for a double vanity and a full bathroom, so we had to take the difficult decision whether to take the bath out of our en-suite to make space for a double vanity or keep the bath and share a basin. In spite of my love for baths, with a bathtub in the main bathroom we decided to lose our bath to maximize storage and to have the ability to get ready side by side in the mornings. I loved the Crystal Ice slim Italian porcelain tops from @infinitysurfacesza in our kitchen so much that I decided to use them for the tops in our bathroom too, and I kept the new vanity cabinet the same colour as the kitchen cabinets, papyrus. I love a surface mounted sink, these are from @italtilesa and I spotted them on a stand @decorexafrica and I knew they would surpass my expectations when I found them. When I wash my face, I splash, so an under-sling mounted sink isn't ideal. I purchased the mirrors from @superbalist and they are of very high quality. Tell me what you think of the transformation. 👷🏽♀️✨
Those of you who are looking at the weather forecast in Hermanus for the next few days and feel as if we have limited beach hours in front of us, don't let the wind spoil your summer holiday plans. In a family outing this morning, we took advantage of the newly opened @bisque_it_hermanus Ceramic Cafe in Hermanus. Not only can you enjoy a cup of coffee in a pretty surrounding but you can also tap into your creative side by trying your hand at ceramic painting; it’s the perfect place to spend a few hours with all ages. I’m looking forward to hitting this pozi with my girl friends over a glass of wine to create a bespoke tea pot or platter but for today, we painted a bunny and a robot.
This Festive Season put your plastic beach buckets to use in a totally different way. Isn’t it the most beautiful ice bucket ever? I spotted this novel video online and had to replicate it with the beautiful 🍒 @sweet_cherrytime and some fresh rosemary to cue to some fezzy feels. This showstopper takes less than 5 minutes to put together, needs 12 hours to set and will wow your guests.
To make the Ice Bucket
- Grab two plastic buckets - make sure the inside one fits a champagne bottle comfortably and enough room between the two to fill with water.
- Gather some decorations ( I’m using rosemary and cherries)
- Add something to weigh it down (frozen peas work well)
- Add water and your decorations
- if the smaller bucket bobs around, you can use some tape to keep it in place
- Pop in the freezer
- When you ready to use the ice cooler, use water to remove the two buckets. Fill the inside one first and use handle to pull out, gently. Pulling to hard can crack the bucket.
- Plate to serve. Positioning on a rimmed plate will help contain the melting water.
- Finally, enjoy all the compliments you going to receive on a beautiful way to keep the bubbles chilled.
Kitchen Renovation Reveal. ✨ As far as my expectations go, the renovation to the heart of our home has exceeded them. I look forward to many years of magic and madness that will be written in this space as we create the memories of our family.
We transformed the existing supawood cabinetry with a coat of paint, colour papyrus. Replaced cabinetry handles with nobs from @gelmarsa and wooden handles from @handlesinc_za. To create an eating nook and a gathering area, the existing island was extended with a 3 meter long matt Pietra Grey top from @infinitysurfacesza. Our dining chairs fitted in here like they were made for the space. Small sectional doors adorned the cupboard doors on either side of the fridge; replacing these with long grooved doors modernized the space. The ultra sleek Crystal Ice @infinitysurfacesza tops on the counters give the depth of marble with all the benefit of porcelain, easy to clean and maintain.
Sneak Peak of our new Kitchen Reno. ✨ Romanticizing life after a long few evenings of unpacking boxes this week into our beautiful kitchen space. With sleek @infinitysurfacesza countertops, open oak shelves to display sentimental pieces, and plenty of cabinet space to store things, I am beyond thrilled with this transformation. The cabinets were existing; repainted in the colour papyrus. The small black knobs are from @gelmarsa and the bold black wooden handles are from @handlesinc_za Please comment and let me know what you think, I’d love to hear. 🫶🏽 More to follow soon.
As you know, Black Friday is right around the corner, so if you've been eyeing furniture, appliances, kitchen or bathroom elements, now's the time to visit (or browse online) and shop @homewarestore. Some of my favourite Black Friday finds featured in this Reel. My visit to the Somerset West @Home store lasted more than two hours, and I envisioned many of the furniture pieces on offer in our new unfurnished home. The Huxley L-shape leather couch, on the cover of this leaflet, greets you as you walk into this store and it is an amazing investment piece marked down to R19 995 for Black Friday, a saving of R10 000 off the original price tag. I loved that these couches are locally made and are in stock ready to ship. I’m seriously considering this couch in butterscotch or taupe for our living room; space for all four of us to lounge on and good looking. The Black Jagger mirror is a showstopper, with beautiful jagged detail. And if you looking for an oversized floor mirror, run as the Bella and Rectangular options are going to sell out quickly. The Pale Boucle fully upholstered couch has a soft curved silhouette that will bring an effortless modern statement to your living room. It’s even available in Black Boucle. It’s also the perfect time to think of your crowdsourcing gifts for loved ones with many of the Le Creuset items in store on offer at 30% less. Get a few friends together and grab a casserole in a lived colour for a milestone birthday, wedding gift or to put under the tree this Festive. 🖤🛒
Here we go 🕺🏽It had been a while since I did anything remotely DIY, so I was excited to get this package put together over the weekend while we were in Onrus. My hands are full of the gorgeous Terra waffle baskets and in the big box is a soft white Lollipop locker. The locker has been on my wishlist since we renovated Onrus, since our kitchen doesn’t have a broom cupboard. In a stylish way, this provides a versatile solution for our Airbnb guests to have accesss to cleaning materials. @popstrukt.furniture pieces are designed to fit and offer ultimate versatility. I love that these lockers come with a various internal options - from a clothes hanger to the option to include up to four shelves. Assembly was easy; I used the YouTube video guide and a screwdriver to put it together. As for the new waffle baskets - sturdy! A perfect match for @popstrukt.furniture. It’s so beautifully designed with rubber feet and honestly the best way to declutter.
Talking Moodboards. Our Stellies Home Renovation project started with this moodboard that has inspired choice of finishes across the kitchen, bathrooms, and flooring. As a base for our home interiors, a moodboard sets the tone and I can't recommend giving it a go enough if you're doing a big project or want to create an overarching vision for a space or home. It’s a north light to reference as you add finishes and layers. Not everything on moodboard is about finishes, for example I placed the brown tone tile on the vinyl floor to get a feel for how our brown leather couch would read on the flooring sample. You can do this with fabric samples & swatches, to give you a holistic feel.
With plenty of questions about suppliers, I thought this was a fun way to share how we started our journey with you guys; let me know what you think of my first green screen reel.
Suppliers( From Top Right):
✨ @infinitysurfacesza for our kitchen and bathroom tops
✨ @limegreen_sourcing_solutions for stick down vinyl floors - colour: Pinot Noir
✨ @decortilesa Fluted Oak & Artisan Tiles in Ochre for bathroom tiling
The clip from this morning gives me all the feels; we're basically camping with no furniture on our last day in our rental; our home isn’t ready for move in (soon soon) but we're having cake for breakfast since we have a birthday in the house. #birthdaysareablessing
Stellies Renovation Week 15. It’s realize it’s only been a week since I shared an update but we fast approaching the end and plenty progress to share on our renovation finishes. We are now entering the last week before our official move in date of 1 November; we moving in with construction continuing around us. This past week was a week of floors - screed prep for vinyl floors, tiling began under the sala and vinyl flooring through out the interior. The colour is Pinot Noir, appropriately named for a Winelands home location, from @limegreen_sourcing_solutions and it’s warmed up our space so much. Our sons room, Jack, room is actually East facing (not West as I say in this video!) so we’ve made a big call to plant a tree into the patio and hopefully bring the garden terrace outdoor/ indoor living vibes alive on our terrace (over time!). Kitchen cupboards are shaping up so nicely as they have been transformed with a new coat of paint and some repair work. Our bedroom was where we invested in new cabinetry with new built ins - his and hers - and here is a sneak peak.
Stellies Renovation. 14 weeks down and my faith in renovating has been restored. Considerable progress in 2 weeks. We went from a half complete roof and open rafters to ceiling in the last two weeks. Once skimmed, it was a defining turning point in our reno for me as the open layout spaces we had created read as one for the first time in the project. The sliding doors and feature windows arrived. We went with an all gated panel design for the windows - the light it adds to our home is incredible and the top opening windows for security. Compacting the floors was noisy but fully prepped and ready for installation. Lastly, I went with your guys recommendation on tile choice for our main en-suite - Fluted Natural Oak Linear @decortilesa - stacked vertically and it’s giving sauna vibes. Love it. Please feel free to pop a comment or a motivation below as we tackle the next phase on this exciting build. 👷🏽♀️✨
Stellies Home Renovation; I’m back with an update at the end of Week 12. Well it almost killed us but here is how we look. We’ve inserted a new garage door and the roof is fast approaching completion. The plastering outside has begun. A slightly different view from the back, we started with the roof over the braai area and it will be open sided - our sala space. The stage 9 storm that hit the Cape last weekend caused some serious delays and damage. A move in date of 1 November is feeling a bit to optimistic but we in the best hands with our building team. We’ve cleaned up the side alley with pavers recovered around the property. Our tiles arrived on site. I ordered them from @decortilesa an online tile site, my samples arrived last week and now we are filing. Sneak peak. Which is your favourite tulle option for our main en-suite shower? The cream squares or Linnear Oak tile?
Just like that, we have completed the 8th week of our Stellenbosch renovations; and since we are now halfway through, here's another one-minute reel to show you what we have been up to along the way. It would have been a mistake to let this week slip by without capturing the progress that had been made. As you will see in this video, we are putting in an en-suite/guest loo in the spare bedroom. Our first step has been to install the divider window so that the family room can be separated from the lounge, and then we will install the fireplace. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this week, so we will be able to start the roofing project, which will add so much value to the home. We have two weeks before filing and floors start and I still haven’t made final decisions, hoping to@kill that off this week. Thank you for following along with us on this journey 🔨✨
