I am sad to report news of the passing of Patricia Blackstock. Pat and I worked together at The Roanoke Times, and she was a fabulous person and friend. She was an amazingly sharp and charismatic person and made friends everywhere she went.

Sad to report that Bob Fields passed. Bob was a good friend, and in his capacity as a Virginia Tech professor, inspired and mentored many outstanding advertising professionals.
