The Musical’s team of writers and performers also create and deliver The Water Coolers, an award-winning, singing comedy act known for writing special songs and comedy sketches for top companies and their key people. Following the successful Off Broadway production of The Water Coolers in 2002, produced by Richard Frankel Productions (The Producers, Hairspray, Young Frankenstein) and others, this
team has been tapped by organizations like Microsoft (Xbox 360 launch), Genworth Financial (honoring award winners), and the American Business Women's Association (celebrating their 60th Anniversary) to write special material for their celebrations. Named The Ensemble Entertainers of the Year in 2009 by Event Solutions Magazine, they continue to tour nationally at performing arts centers around the U.S. and the world, most recently having had their Asia debut in Singapore. Our head writer is one of the creators of Tony n' Tina's Wedding, the longest running comedy in NY theater history and winner of the Outer Critic’s Circle Award. Also a member of the Tony award winning BMI Lehman Engel Workshop for Musical Theater, he collaborates with a hand chosen team of professional writers to create The Water Coolers and You! The company’s onstage talent features seasoned performers whose other credits include the Broadway or Broadway touring productions of Wicked, The Lion King, Rock of Ages, The Drowsy Chaperone, Spamalot, In The Heights, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Grease, Nine, Fiddler On The Roof, Saturday Night Fever, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rent, and many more as well as at top comedy clubs around the country like Igby's, the Improv, the Comic Strip, and the Icehouse.
