NRX - Sandy Dillon Next Generation Music - collection of tragic songs about the fleeting nature of love, life and innoce She describes her music as "jazz-punk western blues".

Sandy Dillon an extraordinarily talented singer and song writer. Discovered by Tony Defries during auditions for a Broadway musical called "Rock 'n Roll - The First 5,000 Years". Her role called for her to perform songs by all the great female vocalists - Janis Joplin, Billy Holiday, Grace Slick and many others. In going through the MainMan archives over the last decade NRX rediscovered these powe

rful and moving recordings which were made during the early '80s while trying to develop her career with major labels. In that era it was very difficult to promote multi talented and cross genre performers who were not main stream within the limited scope of the industry. Now that the changing face of technology and social media have allowed independent labels and artists to find their audience NRX would like to introduce this collection of tragic songs about the fleeting nature of love, life and innocence. Listen to this classically trained but unconventional jazz piano player who sings in the style of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Janis Joplin,Tom Waits, Amy Winehouse & Iggy Pop. Some of these songs were performed live at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London accompanied by Mick Ronson on a bill with Nina Simone in 1985. These studio tracks were recorded during the 80's in New York many featuring Mick on guitar. Producers include Mick Ronson, Dieter Meier of Yello and Man Parrish.
