Black, Q***r & Done is an independent feature film exploring the experiences and representation of Black LGBT+ people within the arts, culture and media sectors.

Q***r artists and culture professionals from the UK, US and Africa were interviewed through online focus groups.

Using insights gathered from the focus groups, three themes were created, with eight Black, Q***r artists invited to respond through their practice: My Q***r Me, In-Between-Ness & It's Giving Thanks.

In 1993, when salons, barbershops, schools, and churches were closing their doors to the LGBT community for fear of "catching" AIDS, this Hollywood United Methodist not only welcomed the community but affixed two large red ribbons to its tower to proclaim that all are welcome.

Pauley Perrette's RED RIBBONS OF LOVE includes interviews with pastors who have served the church during and since 1993 and key laypeople who helped the ribbons become a reality. There are stories of church members who died from AIDS during the early days of the pandemic, the participation in the AIDS Quilt, the funeral of Pedro Zamora, and the continuing hope the ribbons provide to all who live with HIV today.

The documentary short is nominated for Best Director and Best Film. Rainbowfest
