After the collaborative effort Infernot, which saw experiments with rap, guitar sounds and electro-punk, they now return with the more "traditional" Something Wicked This Way Comes, a work informed by noise, industrial and dark ambient. The 10-track album delivers what the authors define as a black metal hauntology, expressed via abrasive distortion, ominous synth sounds, buzzing guitars, and dense noisescapes.

Tras el trabajo colaborativo Infernot, que exploró el rap, sonidos guitarreros y el electro-punk, regresan ahora con un enfoque más "tradicional" en Something Wicked This Way Comes, un álbum impregnado de noise, industrial y dark ambient. Los diez temas ofrecen lo que sus autores definen como una hauntología black metal, expresada mediante distorsiones abrasivas, sintetizadores ominosos, guitarras zumbantes y paisajes sonoros densos.

Recorded at Cabaret Voltaire’s Western Works studio, the album features Newton, Steven James Turner, David J. Hammond, Charlie Collins, Roger Quail, and Simon M. Elliott-Kemp.

Artificial intelligence, when employed as a tool in the service of creativity, demonstrates extraordinary versatility. Its true value lies in the artistic purpose pursued by its user. In the case of this release, far from hiding its use, it is presented as an intermediate element in a meticulous creative process. For months, this project has been carefully shaped, starting from the band's original themes, progressing through a phase of transformation via AI, and culminating in a third stage where the material was reconstructed and expanded using conventional music production software.

Behind this proposal is Active Sense, the creative mind responsible for this tribute to Flash Zero. The project is supported by the band (Fan Dl Kaox). It reworks some of the most iconic tracks by the Madrid-based group, paying special attention to the vocal aspects, both in terms of timbre and respect for the band's original lyrics.

This work is an invitation for curiosity to triumph over prejudice, especially that which is not based on sound arguments. Born from exhaustive effort and a deep passion for music, it is offered freely. It is a gift to the community, an opportunity to experience firsthand how tradition and innovation can converge to create something entirely new.

Love Zone is the fourth full-length of the outfit, and probably its most varied output to date; the usual EBM, techno, and industrial elements (which he explores in his other project General Dynamics, together with SARIN, too) are married to a greater quantity of minimal synth, new wave and darkwave leanings, giving us a moody and somewhat "evocative" soundscape.

Todo gran movimiento cultural, antes de consolidarse, late primero en la efervescencia de lo marginal. Los inicios de la música electrónica en Barcelona es la crónica de una revolución silenciosa que transformaría para siempre el paisaje sonoro de la ciudad.

Nos situamos en un arco temporal que parte de la agitación cultural creada desde los inicios de los años 70 hasta vísperas de los Juegos Olímpicos. Fueron años de experimentación, de fructífero aislamiento, de precariedad y de una inventiva que suplía con creces la falta de recursos. Fue a partir de esta incubadora de ideas cuando Barcelona pudo mirarse en un espejo sonoro que era, a la vez, profundamente local y abiertamente global.

Lo que el lector tiene entre manos es el fruto de una labor de arqueología cultural minuciosa. Resulta extraordinaria y encomiable la ingente cantidad de información que Mauri Ibáñez ha logrado recopilar tras años de trabajo meticuloso. Su método, basado esencialmente en el testimonio directo, le ha permitido tejer un relato poliédrico. Se trata de un mapa de la memoria sonora de una urbe.

La lectura de este libro nos descubre la revelación de los cimientos sobre los que se baila, se crea y se siente la Barcelona de hoy.
