Founded in 1891, The Blue and White is the undergraduate magazine of Columbia University. It features award winning investigative journalism, reviews, fiction, poetry, satire, art, and more. Issues, printed in our signature blue ink, are widely distributed throughout campus and Morningside Heights. We hold our weekly meetings in the Crypt of St. Paul's Chapel at 9 PM on Tuesdays.

Our April Issue is now live on the website. In light of the campus shutdown, we could not distribute our April issue in print so we have released it online first.

In particular, we want to spotlight this issue’s feature “Revisiting 1968”, in which Cecilia Zuniga explores the 1968 protests and their lingering effects on campus activism. We thank you for taking the time to read our work, and hope to deliver it to you in person soon.

In his Blue Note, Chris Brown takes us to the Met where “Before Yesterday We Could Fly” is on exhibit. Chris recounts his personal resonance with the Afrofuturist period room, fleshes out the central themes of the exhibit, and ponders the importance of its place in one of the greatest sites of canonicity.

“A Time Before Yesterday” is a part of our December issue which you can read on our website.
