The Leicester Label aims to bring honest, creative and impassioned artists and bands together, to promote as one. No artist will be bound by us or be forced to pay anything because we've witnessed ourselves some of the freedoms that being 'signed' have sometimes smothered. One way to promote these talents is Brewed In Britain - a compilation CD that showcases the songs that ourselves and our artis
ts feel could be appreciated and even loved. Brewed in Britain will be available in selected shops, online and also in hand-picked venues that share a like-minded ethos about the importance of live music and the value of the listener. We will be hosting nights at the venues for the bands involved where any money made will be split fairly amongst the artists rather than going to a 'promoter' that usually doesn't even attend. This apathy to connect, yet impetus to collect has only fuelled our philosophy towards bringing fairness back to live music. Our partners in Manchester also run a recording studio called The Stable Studio (www.thestablestudio.co.uk), forged in protest against expensive, dismaying studios we've experienced before. You'll find our rates are fair with an attention to detail and quality that is seldom seen without the huge price tag attached. We are an 'unsigned' label that just wants to expose the potential and creativity that this city is so famous for, in any way we can.
