As most of you know, we lost our sweet Michelle last week.
We’ve been lucky to have been a part of Michelle’s life for the past 21 years. She was kind, brave, funny, beautiful and smart. She was the best mother, daughter and friend. She could smell bu****it a mile away. She gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. She trusted people — and loved everyone. She always spoke her mind, and never let anyone take advantage of her. Her parents taught her about loyalty and hard work. She loved her work so much, and was so good at it.
All of these qualities intensified when she was diagnosed with cancer. She loved more — she leaned on people more. She was still so kind even when fighting for her life. She was more beautiful, and had so much courage.
No matter how many times I told her to stop working, she never wanted to. She loved working beside all of you. She loved being a part of this community. She believed that “a body in motion stays in motion” and never wanted to stop living, no matter how tired she was or sick she felt.
She always said “work is magical when you get to do it with the ones you love,” and we are so lucky to have been loved by her.
Thank you for being a part of her life and fight all these years, and for supporting, loving and standing by her side. She was very aware of it and knew she had an incomparable group of friends, family and colleagues holding her hand through it all.
We will love and miss you forever Mish!
