SMITHFIELD, R.I. – In an update to a story we reported yesterday, a Pawtucket man has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a residence on Ridge Road in Smithfield, near the North Providence line.

Police have charged 58-year-old Dennis Dussault with breaking and entering while the homeowner was inside. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Monday, when the resident unexpectedly encountered the suspect. 🚨🚔😮

The Smithfield Police Department responded to a breaking-and-entering on Ridge Road, near the North Providence line this Monday morning.

Ring doorbell footage has provided authorities with images of the suspect, who is believed to have arrived in an older model Nissan Altima.
