About Divas... "We are a wedding and event planning business. We are based in South Philly, but we service PA, NJ & DE. We have been operating for a little over a year and have over 25 weddings in 2022 ALONE!!! 2023 is booking up like crazy! It is absolutely amazing to see my crazy little dream become a thriving business! I officially left my corporate America job so I can do this full time and take this business to the next level." 💪 ⁠

What are some struggles Treanna is facing right now... "Staffing LOL (we are hiring!) I am trying to grow a strong, reliable and dependable team. I have a great group of girls but they all work FT and are in different parts of their lives so it's sometimes hard to view this as more than a temporarily PT gig. To me, this is everything so I need a team that takes it as seriously as me." ⁠

A fun fact about Treanna... "Fun fact about me: I have traveled all over! I have been to more than half of the US states and over 15 different countries. From each place I've traveled, I have collected a snow globe." ❄️ 🌎 ⁠

Get to know Lea... "While I’m very passionate about creating my own embroidery pieces, I’m definitely most excited about sharing my love for the craft with others. Wanting to share something that brings me so much joy and inspiration in a fun, laid-back environment is what drives Sippin’ and Stitchin’. I’m so excited to continue to add more events each month as well as options for people to stitch with us with kits and online classes!" 💻 ⁠

How Sippin' and Stitchin' got started... "My business started in my living room and was never supposed to be “a business”! I had a full-time job at the time and thought of teaching embroidery as a fun thing to do on the side. Six years later it’s my full-time gig and I’m so grateful for all of the support I’ve received along the way to be able to get here." 🌈 ⁠

About challenges... "I think that running your own business is such an amazing experience but definitely doesn’t come without its struggles. In my specific experience, for every event that we launch or awesome collaboration, there were 15 other people who said “no”. For every pattern I design, there were 10 that came before it that didn’t work. I think that in a day and age where social media is really prevalent, we aren’t used to seeing the tough times that come with the good. Being able to do and share what I love every day makes every aspect worth it." ⁠

About striver's row distillery... "Papa Juan, a spiced whiskey inspired by Dominican Mamajuana, is my signature product so far and it's the holidays in a bottle. I am excited to introduce a premium rum to Philadelphia. I believe the top selling brands have given us a bad impression of rum and it can be a high quality spirit made for sipping."⁠
⁠
About challenges... "It's very difficult to scale without a ton of capital. It's a labor intensive operation when you don't have state of the art, automated, equipment and I don't necessarily want to grow with investors yet. Building up enough inventory to promote, reach new parts of PA, and be on more bar shelves is my biggest struggle."⁠

Francisco's inspiration... "Three things convinced me to make the jump into starting a distillery: reading "The Kings County Distillery Guide to Urban Moonshining," listening to the How I Built This podcast episode about McBride Sisters Collection wine, and learning about the great work Philly's own Two Locals Brewing Company was doing. They all kind of happened at the same time."⁠
