While moving towards the achievement of the European Education Area, the main goal of European cooperation in education and training should be to support the further development of education and training systems in the Member States.

The European Commission has decided that because of the pandemic it is as essential as ever to reduce structural barriers to learning and skills development affecting young people’s employment prospects and participation in society. In fact, in order to honor and support the young generation, to encourage all young people, to promote opportunities, and inspire them, the European Union has made the 2022 ‘The Year of Youth’.

Early school leaving is still a current problem in our education system. Among the many proposals that have emerged to address it, Indire Ricerca proposes the TEAL (Technhology Enhanced Active Learning) methodology, which combines lessons, simulations and computer lab activities for a more engaging learning experience based on peer collaboration.
Within this TEAL teaching is based our Digital Garden for European Schools project, a potential tool to create an education at the center of the student and address school dropout.

Yesterday the motivatEyoUth partners hosted the first day of the online training "How to become an ambassador of change to prevent and address ESL".

Understanding and preventing early school leaving
For a long time, the problem of early school leaving was seen purely in psychological terms and attributed to shortcomings in the individual. This is now an outdated view, since it ignores possible shortcomings in structural provisions the responsibility of the school as an institution. A consensus has in the meantime been reached amongst researchers that dropping out of school is a significantly more complex phenomenon, and that each case has a distinct history whose roots can frequently be traced back to kindergarten.
