“Overall I left Kate Rusby’s Christmas show feeling in a thoroughly festive mood. It’s an utterly joyful show that truly celebrates classic carols and folk music, as well as showing off her skills as a songwriter and the talents of her band. Throw in her wonderfully engaging performance, and you feel like you’ve been transported to a South Yorkshire pub for a few hours and can allow all your worries to melt away. It’s definitely something I’m going to try and make a staple of my Christmas season from now on and I’d urge you all to snap up a ticket for next year’s tour as soon as you can! "

We are pleased to say that after a day of rest Kate is feeling a little better, so the gig in York tonight will go ahead. Bring your Christmas voices. 🎄

We are really sad and sorry to announce that tonight’s performance in Cambridge is cancelled.
Kate is absolutely gutted, but regrettably isn’t well enough to perform today. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused - especially as it will be a double cancellation for some.
The box office will be in contact with all ticket holders but all tickets will remain valid for 10 December 2023.
At present, Kate's concert in York tomorrow (18 December) will continue to go ahead, but we will update our socials should anything change.

Hailed as ‘The Start of Christmas’ for many, a Kate Rusby Christmas Concert perpetuates the tradition of Yorkshire carols, specific carols still sung in the pubs of South Yorkshire.

Union Chapel is sold out but Fairfield Halls is the next nearest.

Well!
Thanks (but no thanks) to COVID it's been a challenging time for the Kate Rusby Christmas Tour and Jolly Holly Stream here at Pure Records but last night we finished on a high with the live stream concert to mark the end of a great tour also making it possible for everyone to see a gig this year.
(The stream is still available until 23:59 on the 23rd of December at live.katerusby.com)
To make a tour and stream like this happen there are many, many people involved so we'd like to officially thank all these people for making it possible:

Now to tie up the loose ends and possibly have a little rest over Christmas. Maybe we'll sit back with a sherry and watch the stream...Merry Christmas one and all.
