The Sjotrollet project, initially focused on black metal and at the same time influenced by such diverse bands as Immortal, Candlemass, Bathory, Murkrat, Skald, Queen, Death, Manowar, unexpectedly presents its second album to listeners. “Doomed In Black” masterfully combines black metal of the late 80s - early 90s and classic doom metal in the spirit of Mercy, Nemesis and Candlemass of the “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” period. Lyrically, the work is permeated with reflections on the fate of humanity heading towards its end, which gives “Doomed In Black” integrity. The unique album has found its embodiment in a stylish 4-panel digipak.

«Concrescence» by Eyeless In Gaza continues the experiments started on their debut full-length album «Act I: The Protagonist» with atmospheric doom metal, harmoniously incorporating influences from black metal and post metal. After many years of silence, Italian dark scene legends CULTUS SANGUINE are back, full of strength and inspiration, and with skills that have become perfectly honed. Their return presents dark metal at its purest, distilled into a deeper, darker, and doomier form. Entitled "Dust Once Alive", the new album tells about the tragedy of the gray and mundane life, trudging along from day to day and approaching a sad ending. Signs, goals, and trail lights are no more than false illusions for these ultimately meaningless lives. The recording was made at ADSR Studio by sound engineer Carlo Meroni, who’s known for working with many bands in the Italian extreme scene and is a master of his craft. The album’s mastering took place at the Moonhouse studio in Milan. The release comes in a stylish four-page digipak with a booklet to complement the aesthetic pleasure of the dark art of CULTUS SANGUINE.

International death/funeral doom metal act MESMUR have returned to release their fourth album, entitled “Chthonic”.
The title is based on the Greek word for "underworld", and where the band's previous albums have explored themes of cosmic entropy and earthly apocalypse, “Chthonic” looks to the spirit world for its inspiration. Formed as a collection of paranormal horror tales, it speaks of fabled entities making contact through the veil of sleep, summoning prey to subterranean depths, or haunting a post apocalyptic landscape.
Musically, the album continues the trajectory that MESMUR have established through previous works. Featuring viola and cello performances from Brianne Vieira and guest organ from Kostas Panagiotou of UK funeral doom act Pantheist (for whom Jeremy and John of Mesmur recently contributed guitars and drums on their 2021 record “Closer to God”), “Chthonic” strikes a careful balance between melody and dissonance as it displays its haunted imagery. Crushing doom riffs are overlain with ethereal synths and cavernous vocals to build a dark and vivid atmosphere, and the intricate compositions utilize a narrative approach influenced as much by 70's progressive rock as by extreme doom metal. Like the band's previous two releases, the album features beautifully eerie and vibrant cover art from Ukrainian painter Vladislav Cadaversky.

The bad news is there was an issue with the gatefold sleeves and pressing plant is working on fixing it so, unfortunately, around a couple of weeks more will be needed to have the right ones and start fulfilling your preorders.

The third album from Old Night , a Croatian band formed by Luka Petrović of Ashes You Leave ASHES YOU LEAVE. From the very first album the band has established itself as an adherent of the tradition of doom metal with the surprise of rock, the value of heavy metal and atmospheric music in general. "Ghost Light" became, without exaggeration, the most mature work of the group. Balanced sounds and inclusions (including amazing lead guitar parts), polished arrangements and smells of atmosphere - all this makes the album one of a kind and excludes listening. It is also the album and the closure of a trilogy that began on their first full-length album. This intimate concept album takes an even more adventurous turn into the darkest corners of the human mind. The cover and booklet design was done by none other than All Things Rotten, who also worked on the band's first two albums.

The second full-length album of the Spanish band Shattered Sigh is sustained in the best traditions of gothic doom death metal, delicious melodies, and dark mood. Truly wonderful news!

It is with great joy and pride that we can finally announce what we’ve been working on for such a long time. We will release our third record, named Ghost Light, on the 4th of March through Solitude Productions.
We feel very fortunate and we hope this new collaboration will be beneficial to all parties involved. All we can say is that we’re stoked to be working with this cult record label and hopefully this will be another stepping stone in our career.

Our record will be released as a high-quality Digipak CD with a 12 page booklet and the preorders should be up soon. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. More info about the record and the CD will be released in the upcoming days. As a teaser, we are delighted that we can finally share with you the cover artwork of the album. Once again, the cover and booklet design were handled by none other than All Things Rotten who also worked on our first two records.
