Watch + rest + exhale + resume the important work of making things better.

"I think we’re all seeing the need for reinvention, for newness, for a new world, but how do we get there? What I keep telling myself and everyone I love is that the world before this pause was imagined. The world we will have after is currently being imagined. We are all part of that work. It’s a message I hope we keep passing on and on and on, because it has sturdy composition, is made out of way more than thin air. I know from my own personal life that there’s a jarring quake that comes with losing the lens through which you’ve always seen the world. It’s a heartbreak. A loss. Only, not of a person; of the entire way you understand seeing. There’s a scintillating quiet that follows. You can’t turn or run from it; you have to make something else, or it’ll be made for you. It’s up to you, says the glowing instruction, choose the life and lens you can survive." –Eloghosa Osunde

In 1965, the first images of Mars were sent to Earth as a series of numbers that indicated the brightness of a single pixel. It was supposed to take more than 8 hours to receive all the pixels needed for a complete image. But one tape recorder engineer on the Mariner IV mission figured out a short cut and accidentally created the first picture of the Red planet.

"Of the upcoming movies in the series, Otto is most excited to be presenting the area premiere of a new film, "Day of a Stranger," on Sunday, July 18, at 1 p.m.

Using rare audio recordings, the movie focuses on the late monk Thomas Merton and his groundbreaking stance on civil rights.

"We'll be screening a recording of an interview with the director Cassidy Hall following the free screening," Otto said."
