Pouch Pouch is an online poetry journal named after the distinguishing feature of the Virginia opossum- an animal we are strongly in favor of. Nice things. Less is.

Pouch is a nice place to put things. Pouch maintains a simple & reserved format for those who become grumpy when bombarded. We do not have delicate sensibilities; we value honesty, with all its fleas. We are interested in authenticity. Understated narratives are a plus. Puns are a plus. Note that happy laughs & melancholy shrugs interest us equally. Persona poems will be a tough sell, though we ar

e not entirely averse to them. Despite being based in the States, Pouch is all places- happily considering work from anywhere in the world, from writers at any stage in their careers. We regret that we do not accept translations. Passable English is our only international requirement. Does not consider previously published work.
