I know this is a little different to my usual kaiju related content, but this is a project that I'm really passionate about, and have been working on for a very long time, hence, I want it to reach as many people as possible...

I'm excited and proud to announce that after many years of work, the official release date of my bands DIY recorded and produced, debut, self titled album, "Toxic Bird", has finally been confirmed!

In less than a month expect the full digital release to be available for streaming and download on sites including Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Pandora, Amazon, Instagram, YouTube, Tidal, iHeartRadio, Deezer etc... and yes, there's potential for a hard copy release in the near future.

As an added bonus to keep you guys occupied until then, we will be releasing a handful of singles off the upcoming album, spread out over the course of the month.

Stay tuned, as the first track will drop any day now... ;)

This experimental animation pays homage to the iconic opening scene of the 1995 movie Godzilla vs Destroyah were Godzilla rampages through Hong Kong, revealing his burning state.
So whilst working on painting my Burning Godzilla scene, I had an idea and got a little bit carried away... I ended up experimenting with layering different sections of my drawing in 3D space... this causes what's known as the "parallax effect".
The art was digitally drawn/painted in a program called Krita. The 3D layering creating the parallax effect was done in Paint 3D, I then added music and some particle effects in Windows Movie Maker.
I didn't have much control over the camera movements so its a bit more wobbly than I would have liked but overall I think it turned out really cool !

Here's my finished Burning Godzilla artwork!

I drew/painted this digitally on a program called Krita.
This depicts the iconic opening scene of 1995's Godzilla vs Destroyah were Godzilla rampages through Hong Kong, revealing his burning state.

I'd recommend trying this out as a wallpaper for your computer or phone, I've been using it for mine.

🐢 I thought it would be fun to attempt to draw my speculation of what Gamera's new design in the upcoming "Gamera Rebirth" Netflix anime might look like.

This was digitally drawn in Krita and is based off of the limited sneak peaks we got of the creature, such as his silhouette on the poster and the silhouette of his upcoming S.H. MonsterArts figure.

I wonder how close I got to his real look?
