2005 marked the beginning of the Arepaz Record label to compliment, Beta Bodega and Botanica Del Jibaro, as an alternative sound source for immigrant inspired protest breakouts and grooves. Before racist dreams about wall division between the US & Mexico, Arepaz inspired the world, outside the programmed bandwagons, that came later would infest the American political landscape. Pioneering ideals and always progressive in nature, we took the best part from the evolution of all our prior labels to make the best sonic reprenstation for 2007. A real quality and reality meter of the local scene in Miami at the time, that moved on from hipster design covers, old gimmick bass and Autechre or formulaic J-Dilla cloning. Throw a hot arepa in the air and see how many times losers try to flip and bite it.

Be part of history, have what a limited CD-R promo that a handful of distributers embraced or threw in the trash. Labors of love, rise above.

Released on the Beta Bodega imprint back in December 20 of 1999, the debut of Beta Bodega Coalition. Pressed in NYC, with cover and artwork designed and produced in Miami.

"Inspired by the Panama Canal Treaty, signed to give back the coal back to Panama in the year 2000 (2K). The United States Invasion of Panama, codenamed Operation Just Cause, lasted over a month between mid-December 1989 and late January 1990. Surrounded with questions of mass graves, burned-down neighborhoods, the use of beam and other experimental weapons, etc. and presents depictions of some of the 20,000 refugees who fled the fighting Officials of the Noriega Government maintain that 8,000 Panamanian civilians were killed in the invasion, which began on Dec. 20, while Mr. Clark's Independent Commission of Inquiry on the United States Invasion of Panama estimates that more than 3,000 Panamanians died."
