Grow Conference
We attended the first ever GROW Conference last month. One big takeaway was all about how the secret to good business growth is connections with good people.
Thank you, Catherine Lee Brown for your leadership and vision for this inaugural conference. Thank you, John Way, for your wonderful teaching on building an effective referral network. Thank you Dr. Ryan Brown, Managing Director for Measurement, Associate Director at Doerr Institute of Rice University for helping us craft a new Life Purpose Statement with the help of their new AI Tool, Dendrien! And thank you Dr. Seema Desai for showing us how to maintain peace and clarity in our bodies.
We felt so inspired, and we were ecstatic to connect with so many amazing leaders who are doing meaningful work in their respective industries. We were so thankful to make so many new friends and learn from them!
It was great to be surrounded by other leaders and entrepreneurs who are focused on prioritizing people. It was a good mix of learning and getting to know each other.
We loved attending, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

A little late, but nevertheless wanted to share because this community means so much to us. Being a part of the TrueWorks community has been life-changing for us. We've learned a lot this year about how to move past just operating ethically and into a more redemptive space to make the world a better place.
At our TrueWorks Christmas party, we enjoyed fellowship, homecooked Indian food by Sunny, scrumptious cookies from Pondicheri, and some meaningful carols with the two 2023 TrueWorks Redemptive Lab cohorts. Together, we celebrated Advent and the gift of community with mentors, nonprofit leaders, and entrepreneurs.
In the middle of the party at our home, my mom - who was watching our two little kiddos - had a medical emergency and I needed to take her to the hospital. Our TrueWorks friends immediately jumped to help us - two driving our kids back home from my mom's, while the rest helping Sunny clean up and do dishes so we wouldn't have to worry the next day. Many checked on us over the next few days and those texts/calls were so meaningful. This community has shown us what it means to be brothers and sisters in Christ. Love you all friends <3
What a blessing fellowship is as we strive to better serve our community together!

Redeemed Ministries
We're honored to have worked with Redeemed Ministries, an organization that offers long-term restoration services to adult survivors of domestic sex trafficking.
As one of the few safe homes for survivors in the U.S., their holistic, trauma-informed programming is vital for survivors to heal. When they asked us to create videos to show the impact of their programs, we were so excited to work with them.
It was important to us that we understood the trauma survivors faced so that we could film in a respectful and ethical manner. Through video storytelling, we were able to help Redeemed Ministries create awareness about its mission.

Power Tools Conference Recap
🌟 We had an incredible time at the Power Tools for Nonprofits conference! 🌟
At our exhibitor's booth, we had the chance to meet countless inspiring individuals who are making a real difference in the world through their nonprofit efforts. It's amazing to see so many great people doing life-changing work!
A highlight of the conference was being able to present our workshop on Ethical Storytelling Misses and Hits. Natasha Paradeshi with Solace Media and Jorge Galvan with Capital IDEA Houston delved into the importance of telling stories with empathy, understanding the profound impact it can have on both the storyteller and the audience.
We also had the pleasure of giving away valuable storytelling resources and gift cards, hoping to empower and encourage all the incredible changemakers we met at the conference.

Houston Legal Aid Center provides redeeming justice for the poor, vulnerable, and victimized. With the help of the community and local churches, they have provided pro bono or reduced-cost legal services to over 1,500 individuals since 2015.

Blue Bird Circle
What better way to celebrate 100 years of giving families hope for a brighter future than a video that shares a few of their stories?
The Blue Bird Circle supports pediatric neurology research and clinics in the Houston area so children with neurological disorders can have a chance at a more normal life.
As one of our Laying a Foundation for Growth clients, Solace Media and Broad Oaks Consulting, LLC worked with The Blue Bird Circle on marketing and fundraising strategies that create sustainable growth.
