🤔 Is your social media putting people to sleep?

The other day, I was doing a social audit for a donut franchise, and I came across dozens of local businesses' feeds that were about as exciting as watching paint dry.

😴 Post after post of "Buy our stuff!" and "We're the best!"

So, how do you know if your social media is a page-turner or more like taking an ambien?

Here's the fastest test to find out:

➡️ Look at your last 10 posts. How many tell a story?

➡️ Check the comment sections. Are there cobwebs growing?

➡️ Count how many times you've mentioned your customers (not your products).

➡️ Do you post great content... but never run ads?

➡️ Tally up the posts that made YOU feel something.

If your answers are "Zero," "What customers?", and "I felt bored, does that count?", congratulations! Your social media is officially a snooze fest. 🫣

Why does this matter?

❌️ It comes off as tone-deaf, it's ineffective, and it makes people wonder if you've ever met a human being.

You see, the secret to captivating social media content is storytelling.

Even if you think your business is "too boring" for good stories (spoiler: it's not)... which is why we dig deep to find the gems in your business and turn them into content gold.

✅ You tell stories. About your customers. Your wins AND your failures. Even your interaction with the weird neighbor this morning.

Back in the office today but my mind's still on the courts after a long weekend in Kansas City snagging bronze in our first-ever PPA Tour Pickleball Tournament appearance! 🏆

870 players registered. 24 courts. 4 days of non-stop action at Elite Tennis & Wellness Center in Overland Park.

Now I'm not one to brag, but 30+ Des Moines pickleball players descended upon KC and we left a trail of podium finishes in our wake.

From having our families there to see us play for the first time to cheering on our crew and rubbing elbows with the pros, this weekend was pure pickleball bliss.

Of course, while we were in town we had to stop by Hot Country Nights at Power and Light with some of the group and ended the night with our favorite late night pizza at - for training purposes of course 😜

Shout out to for converting the old Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines into 13 indoor pickleball courts and giving us a place to play (let's be real, feed our addiction) 24/7.

Turns out, swinging a paddle is a pretty good way to clear your head after a long week of launching some ads and creating content for our local business partners.

Some of my most creative ideas come when I'm out chasing a plastic ball around so I'm excited to get back to work but I'm already scouting out our next tournament!

I can't be the only one, right?! 😅

You need clients COMING to you in order for your business to grow.

But there is no point in getting people to sign up for your offer without an effective follow up strategy to back it up.

Lead generation on its own is all about creating an offer people can't refuse and the strategy to get it in front of the people ready to buy.

Following up is all about taking action.

Together, they rule scaling your business.

If you want to convert more leads into sales, you need to follow up consistently.

When it comes to following up with someone after they have submitted a form online, time plays a huge role in getting a response and converting leads.

It's said that you increase your chance of getting a response 400x by calling a new lead within 5 minutes.

But how often should you follow up?

44% of sales reps give up after 1 call.

Like you, your prospects are busy. Chances are they might miss your first or second call.

So, don't stop after 2 follow-ups, make another few attempts to catch them on the phone.

In fact, your chance of reaching them after 6 calls goes up to 90%.

If you know you can genuinely change people's lives, are you really going to give up after calling them once?

Prospects feel good when you care about them and their challenges.

Following up is just one way of showing up for them and showing them that you care about helping them reach their goals.

Transforming their clients' lives seems to come up with nearly everyone.

It seems like most trainers have that at the top of their list.

While that is what I enjoy most about working with you all.

🤫 I think it’s time to let you in on a little secret…

In order to transform more lives, you’ve got to have more clients.

If I asked, “how did you get your last client?”

Would you know exactly how?

Or are you just crossing your fingers and hoping that one of your clients brings in their friends, that your post on Insta doesn’t get lost in the feed and someone reaches out, or that someone will drive by and stop?

Maybe March has been a great month.

Do you have a plan for how you’ll repeat that again?

You set your clients up for success by creating workout routines, grocery lists, and meal plans, heck you even have fallback plans for when they are presented with challenges like holidays or going out to dinner.

These things work and you know it because they have for countless others you’ve trained.

✅ Send an email blasts to current clients and remind them of your referral program
