Nationless Mind Records is a label for artists looking for more than a flag to raise. Launched in 2012 by spoken word/hip hop MC Hyfidelik the GypsySun, alongside fellow band members from Missing LinX - Just Jamaal, MC The Poet and PrufRock- the avant garde label seeks to create professional avenues for artists working on the fringe of Canada’s evolving cultural scope. This can easily be found in
Ottawa’s thriving spoken word community, which also sustains a healthy number of talented musicians. The young label has released Missing LinX’s debut album, ‘R.I.P. Charlie,’ to critical acclaim, landing in the Ottawa Citizen’s ‘Best in Ottawa music 2012: 20 songs by 20 bands.’ With an ever growing roster of talent, Nationless hopes to release three albums in 2013, including an Ottawa wide compilation. Our mission is to deliver a nationless art form to further integration, not assimilation, in Canadian society. To enhance the Ottawa arts community by being part of a music label that can professionalize other artists. We want to continue to deliver our message and hiphop and spoken word sounds to all corners of the world, fostering expression and freedom for all of the Earth's peoples.
