Jestem bardzo szczęśliwa, ze możemy dziś wręczyć nagrodę imienia Krzysztofa Talczewskiego.
Dla nas, jego przyjaciół, ten moment jest szczególnie ważny: w ten sposób możemy przywołać Krzysztofa, jego osobowość, jego zasługi, jego obecność w życiu i filmie, jego widzenie świata. Krzysztof był wspaniałym, mądrym i dobrym człowiekiem i utalentowanym, nowatorskim filmowcem. Najczęściej opowiadał świat używając istniejących już materiałów archiwalnych i takim próbom i osiągnięciom postanowiliśmy poświęcić nagrodę jego imienia.
Trudno o godniejszego laureata tej pierwszej przyznanej przez nasza kapitule nagrody niż wielki - nie waham się użyć tego określenia - twórca jakim jest Sergiej Łoźnica. Dziękuje, Sergiej, za Twoją obecność i za Twoje filmy, poszukujące, niejednoznaczne, odważne.

Dziękuje również Jakubowi Wiewiórskiemu, dyrektorowi Festiwalu Mediów Człowiek w Zagrożeniu za to, ze festiwal ustanowił nagrodę poświęcona pamięci Krzysztofa i stworzył platformę do debaty, jak opowiadać współczesny świat, jak pokazywać historię, jak aktualizować przeszłość i jak odpowiadać na wyzwania przyszłości.
