Viola Davis was born on her grandmothers farm on Singleton Plantation in 1965. At 2 years old, Davis was taken to jail with her mother after she was arrested during a civil rights protest.

Today, Viola is the only black woman who has received the "Triple Crown of Acting" (Academy, Emmy, and Tony.)

In 2011, Davis donated to keep the library in Central Falls open. In 2014, she began working with the Hunger Is campaign to fight child hunger in America. She said: "seventeen million kids in this country, so one in five kids in this country, go to bed hungry. I was one of those kids, because I grew up in abject poverty; I did everything that you could possibly imagine to get food: I rummaged in the garbage cans, I stole from the local store constantly. the thing that made me join...was the word 'eradicate', 'get rid of' – not by thirty-percent not by twenty-percent not by fifty-percent, but to do away. Because everyone should be a child, and should grow up and have a chance at the American dream."

With everlasting hits like I Will Always Love You, and everlasting community impacts like her Imagination Library, Dolly Parton is and will always be timeless.

Dolly supported the LGBTQ community in her 1991 song Family. In 2003, she received a Partnership Award from the US Fish and Wildlife Service for the work she has done to preserve the bald eagle. She bought a theme park in her hometown of Pigeon Forge Tennessee with the hope of bringing good employment to the area, and is now the biggest employer in the town. During Covid, Dolly donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, funding research towards the Moderna vaccine.

Olive Ouid and our partners aspire to give back to women the way Dolly has given back to her community, wholly and faithfully.

🌟Breaking barriers and defying stereotypes, Lydia Villa-Komaroff earned her PhD from MIT in 1975, becoming the third Mexican-American woman in the U.S. to achieve this milestone in the sciences.

As the pioneering first author of a groundbreaking report, she revealed that bacteria could produce proinsulin, marking the historic synthesis of a mammalian hormone by bacteria. 💡

Despite facing discouragement in her undergrad years, Lydia's resilience led her to switch from chemistry to biology, proving that women belong and excel in every field. 🚀
