🤩Me and my posse, Cael and Ahava Kaydence, stopped in at The Midtown Burger Club during Rhubarb Fest- my first time!

Here’s my overall review.

My faves:
- ✅ PRICES
- ✅ FLAVOR
- ✅ OPTIONS
- ✅ SERVICE

But I wish:
- 🙌 More hours… or even special “date night” hours every so often
- More seating (or, just… ya know… buy a whole place, no big deal… 🤦🏽‍♀️😆)

🤤 It really is THAT good. 👏👌

🙌 Raise your hand if you love the “The Midtown Burger Club”!

My recommendation- if you haven’t had it yet- DO IT.

It’s worth the drive from the QC & surrounding areas… I know you folks are always looking for the next best burger+fry combo. I found it. 😉

Recommendation to the owner… Hi Adam. Can you pretty please open a sit down restaurant? Pleeeeaaaaasee…. Don’t make me beg. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Can’t wait to go back! 👏👏👏

The little sit down patio area is adorable too.

‼️‼️According to the US National Weather Service Quad Cities Iowa/Illinois….the SPC (Storm Prediction Center) has issued a PDS, Particularly Dangerous Situation… 4 inch hail possible:

Tornado Watch until 9 PM this evening!!

This is a Particularly Dangerous Situation!
Strong Tornadoes are Possible
90 MPH winds are Possible
Softball Size Hail is Possible

Please have plans on what you do when a warning is issued, and take action immediately !

I am adding our coverage area to EXTREME for a few large long track tornadoes, damaging winds up to 100 mph or higher with baseball size hail as models have increased some. These storms will move very fast, and can produce large tornadoes. The winds is another threat that can do a lot of damage to trees and buildings. The sun has increased our chances for the line of severe thunderstorms and chances for a few strong down bursts. A down burst can be strong as a tornado, so you need to be weather aware this evening between 6 and 8 pm!

Potential weather threat- be aware! Follow Weir Weather and WildLife for timely updates today/tomorrow (and always!).

Potential weather threat- be aware! Follow Weir Weather and WildLife for timely updates today/tomorrow (and always!).

SEVERE WEATHER THREAT TUESDAY: LEVEL 4 risk of severe weather. Concern is for two rounds of storms. 2-6 p.m. needs to be watched for tornadoes and large hail. A couple strong tornadoes are possible.

Second window is 6 p.m. (west) to 9 p.m. (east). These storms carry threats of damaging wind of 70 mph or greater, and a few tornadoes (couple strong possible). Hail is a secondary threat.

These storms will be fast moving, so stay weather aware and take action when a warning is issued for your location.

If we get more storms in the overnight hours into Tuesday morning, that may take down the intensity of storms later in the day.

The future isn’t looking great for U.S. TikTok users - this is how the House vote currently stands.

👉The House passed the bill in a 352-65 vote, with one member voting present. The measure now heads to the Senate.

If it passes - Biden has already said he’ll sign it.

The bill would make it illegal for any U.S. based app company to offer the TikTok app.

———-more info most won’t read👇—————

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., argued on the House floor that the legislation fails to address the "root problems" surrounding potential invasions of Americans' privacy. He stated that the proposed solution by lawmakers is not the right one, asserting,

"In this case, their cure is worse than the diseases."

Massie specifically pointed out that Facebook stands to benefit the most from the bill, predicting an increase in the company's stocks. He suggested that adding a provision sunsetting the policy would enhance the legislation.

Expressing concern, Massie warned that the ban could "be abused." He said, "This sounds like when American companies try to do business in Third World countries and a dictator says, well, you can do business here, you’ve just got to give me your company."

Massie observed that members of Congress use Chinese-made phones, wear Chinese suits, and drive Chinese cars to work. He urged his colleagues to oppose the measure.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., speaking on the House floor, claimed that the bill is "not an attempt to ban TikTok."

"It's an attempt to make TikTok better. Tic-tac-toe — a winner, a winner," Pelosi said.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., ahead of the vote, said,

"The legislation before the Congress does not ban TikTok," he said. "It is designed to address legitimate national security and privacy concerns related to the Chinese Communist Party’s engagement with a frequently used social media platform."

“The principled objections raised by several members of Congress to the bill are real and should not be dismissed. However, after careful consideration, I plan to vote yes on the legislation for the substantive reasons set forth above."

According to Time.com:

If the bill is passed, it would make it possible for the President to identify and designate social media platforms under the control of countries considered adversarial to the U.S. as national security threats. If a platform is deemed a national security threat, it would be banned from app stores and web hosting services unless it cuts all ties with the foreign adversarial country within 180 days.

If the bill is passed, it is likely that the President would designate TikTok as a national security threat, requiring ByteDance to either sell the platform within 180 days or face a ban.
