Hello there, cool cats. I hope your summer has been nice and relaxing. While getting the music selection ready for the first show of the semester, I came across this article talking about the discovery of the lost John Coltrane album Blue World, being released September 27. It’s a really great read, so I encourage all of you to check it out. Get ready, because in a few weeks, All That Jazz will be back on the air. I’ll announce the show date soon. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer.

Coltrane recorded the album in New Jersey, at the admiring behest of a Québécois filmmaker named Gilles Groulx, who used it to score his docufictional film Le chat dans le sac.
