My Story
UnratedEbony is an alias I created for myself in high school that turned into a personal brand after serving some time as a blog, online radio show, and at times I took side-gigs as a freelance photographer.
If you followed my story from the beginning you’ll know that I absolutely love music and work as a media planner at a full-service digital creative agency. Music and media have played a huge role in my life and brand, UnratedEbony. When I’m not writing, delegating orders, or working at my day job, I’m at a nightclub deejaying a house set. If you ever see the name, FLWRSHRK, on a flyer somewhere know that it’s me!
You know what’s also me? Digital and print publication, HangTime Magazine, which was founded in 2015. Yup! When I was a sophomore at the City College of New York, I created HangTime to highlight the various independent artists hustling and navigating their way in the music industry. I’ve met so many talented individuals over the years and all I wanted to do was help them. Between my expertise in journalism and advertising, I knew I’d be able to document these artists’ stories and share them with the world. We do all sorts of things now with HangTime outside of editorial and creating digital content…we’re kind of a big deal.
Aside from all of that, I’m open for collaboration whether it’s shooting, mixing, or just straight-talking (I love coffee), so hit my line!
