THE VISION OF HELL
"Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent." — Lucia

OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY NOVENA - DAY 7 PRAYER
O Mary Immaculate, who at Fatima showed Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta a brief – but terrifying – glimpse of Hell, preserve us from its ravishing flames, "O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell."

How generous was their response to thy maternal plea to "Pray, pray much, and sacrifice for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because there is no one to offer sacrifices and pray for them."

O Mother of Mercy, in thee God clothed Himself in our humanity that He might redeem us from sin and open for us the gates of Paradise. The immeasurable suffering of His Passion and Death should evince from our souls a love commensurate with the abandon with which He shed His Precious Blood, and yet we persist in our sins. Shake us from our spiritual lethargy by this vision of Hell and move us to heed thy motherly plea to amend our own lives and pray for sinners.

1. The most bountiful God, who is almighty, the plan of whose providence rests upon wisdom and love, tempers, in the secret purpose of his own mind, the sorrows of peoples and of individual men by means of joys that he interposes in their lives from time to time, in such a way that, under different conditions and in different ways, all things may work together unto good for those who love him.(1)

2. Now, just like the present age, our pontificate is weighed down by ever so many cares, anxieties, and troubles, by reason of very severe calamities that have taken place and by reason of the fact that many have strayed away from truth and virtue. Nevertheless, we are greatly consoled to see that, while the Catholic faith is being professed publicly and vigorously, piety toward the Virgin Mother of God is flourishing and daily growing more fervent, and that almost everywhere on earth it is showing indications of a better and holier life. Thus, while the Blessed Virgin is fulfilling in the most affectionate manner her maternal duties on behalf of those redeemed by the blood of Christ, the minds and the hearts of her children are being vigorously aroused to a more assiduous consideration of her prerogatives.

3. Actually God, who from all eternity regards Mary with a most favorable and unique affection, has "when the fullness of time came"(2) put the plan of his providence into effect in such a way that all the privileges and prerogatives he had granted to her in his sovereign generosity were to shine forth in her in a kind of perfect harmony. And, although the Church has always recognized this supreme generosity and the perfect harmony of graces and has daily studied them more and more throughout the course of the centuries, still it is in our own age that the privileg

HAPPY PILGRIMAGE FROM OKE MARIA, OKA.

Peace be with you.

On behalf of our Bishop, Most Rev. Jude Arogundade, I wish everyone of us a happy 2021 pilgrimage.

It is another Oke Maria pilgrimage. Thanks be to Almighty God for the gift of our Mother Mary who continues to intercede for us.

Today and this year 2021, our annual PILGRIMAGE shall be observed in our parishes in connection with the masses at Oke Maria PILGRIMAGE center, Oka.

Our Emeritus Bishop,
Most Rev. Dr. F.F. Alonge has said the 6.am Mass for the intentions of the Diocese and all of us.

There will be 1st PILGRIMAGE Mass by 12noon to be celebrated by Bishop Alonge. Thereafter Divine mercy at 3pm, Exposition and Adoration by 5pm, candle light procession to the shrine by 6pm and Thanksgiving Mass by 7pm. Kindly join us spiritually is u can not be present and get connected to us spiritually at every part of the Diocese.

I wish the whole diocese and the children of God who are connected to us from every part of the diocese a happy and spirit filled pilgrimage.

*Novena! Novena!! Novena!!!*

The Novena to our Lady of Mt Carmel starts tomorrow, 7th - 15th July, 2020.

Our Lady told St Simon Stock that *"Whosoever dies WEARING the Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire"* She also said that *"One day through Rosary and Scapular, I will save the World"*. Our Lady wants everyone to consecrate themselves to Her Immaculate Heart.

Scapular obtains for us *SABBATINE PRIVILEGE* which means that Saturday after ones death, our Lady will come and free the person from Purgatory if the person ever went to Purgatory, so long as the person observed Chastity according to his/her state in life, wore Scapular devotedly during life and death and pray the Little Office which is replaced with Rosary for Blue Army members.

So my dearest friends, our Lady wants us all to go to Heaven and has provided an easy way which is the *"Brown Scapular"*. Don't miss this golden opportunity.

The Novena is done in all the Parishes in the World. Join World Apostolate of Fatima and get enrolled into the Scapular Confraternity.

I wish us all Heaven at last through the intercession of our Lady of Mt Carmel. Amen.
