No matter how busy we are, we go on dates.

And recently we had a brunch date at Panco Cafe.

Coffee beans used for their coffee are roasted in Melbourne so expect quality coffee.

Pero kung hindi ka coffee drinker, we recommend Kalma. Kakaiba siya kasi pinaghalong Philippine kalamansi and matcha. BUT IT IS SURPRISINGLY GOOD.

And their main dishes are Filipino fusion food which you can opt to eat either as Melbourne-style (as a filling in a sandwich) or Manila-style (served with rice).

This meal would probably be our most expensive one since it cost us a total of ₩160,000 but we’re just thinking that we don’t know when we’ll be back.

When the clock strikes 12 later, it’s going to be the Chinese new year and for the Filipino-Chinese community, it means a lot of delicious food with the whole family.

One of the staple food on the table is “tikoy” or 年糕 which translates to “year cake.” It is a Chinese glutinous rice cake whose sticky consistency symbolizes a healthy bond within the family and other relationships.

While it is available all year round, we usually have the premium or special variant during the Chinese New Year so we have something to look forward to.

Our favorite brand is Eng Bee Tin and what we usually have during Chinese New Year is the Cheese Tikoy 😊

A trip to Baguio isn’t complete without dining at Farmer's Daughter Restaurant. It’s just a few steps away from the Tam-awan Village’s entrance.

The restaurant is an ode to all daughters of farmers and exclusively serves authentic Cordilleran cuisine e.g. 𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘬𝘱𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘯.

What we ordered is the 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘳𝘢𝘱 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘧 𝘴𝘦𝘵. Beef smoked for weeks to months in a traditional cooking fireplace is pan-fried. It is served on a pita bread with fresh green salad. While the dish looks simple, it is actually flavorful.

When in Zamboanga, don’t miss trying out the curacha crabs in Alavar sauce at Alavar Seafood Restaurant. We wanted to try out their other dishes without spending too much so what we ordered was a combo meal.

The one in the photo is their combo meal #7 that has curacha crab in Alavar sauce, baked clams, grilled blue marlin, green mango with bagon gata, and rice. It’s so good to eat that you’ll end up using your hands to eat 🤤😋

Since we live in the city, what we usually include in our itinerary is a cafe with an overlooking view. So we rented a car then drove all the way to Peakview Café. It was quite an adventure for us going there but seeing a different side of Zamboanga was truly worth it 😊

𝓢𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓲 is a dish that has beef or chicken barbecue sticks and cubed rice in a bowl of sweet and spicy aromatic, viscous sauce. The sauce does not have peanuts unlike the Malaysian and Indonesian satay. And despite the reddish hue of the sauce, the heat is tolerable and just leaves us wanting for more.

The dish is normally eaten for breakfast and is served as early as 4 AM in different satti houses. But if you want to try this dish, we recommend Jimmy’s Satti Haus which is the oldest satti house in Zamboanga.

It is not guaranteed that you will always be able to see the perfect cone of the Mayon Volcano since it may be hidden underneath clouds. However, Sumlang Lake is still a great place to visit. You can make new memories with friends and families by having a picnic or simply chilling on floating couches 😊

With the desire to capture images of ourselves together in school uniforms, we made a spontaneous decision to include Lotte World Adventure in our plans. Each park has its unique attractions, and our preferences varied. Me-An’s choice: Everland Theme Park • The highlight for us was the T-Express, South Korea’s first wooden roller coaster. As our ride approached the first drop, we couldn’t help but feel the steepness, and the entire experience was intense, featuring numerous drops and turns that literally lifted us from our seats. • Everland offers the unique opportunity to see pandas without the obstruction of glass enclosures, surpassing our experience at Taipei Zoo. • The park provides an abundance of photo spots with themed sections, and I particularly enjoyed capturing moments with the enchanting golden hour sky as a backdrop. Lloyd’s choice: Lotte World Adventure • Boasts a large indoor theme park featuring exciting indoor rides, including the exhilarating experience of riding a go-kart through a 150 m-long track in Kart Rider Racing World. • The Gyro Swing, a pendulum ride that adds to the thrill by swinging back and forth, providing a 360° spin with the stunning backdrop of Seokchon Lake. • Atlantis Adventure, a roller coaster that mimics the sensation of riding a jet ski, complete with fast turns and exhilarating dips. Our Seoul food adventure in Seoul began at @90tan1 🥩✨ We couldn’t resist the allure of gopchang, a Korean dish made from grilled beef or pork intestines.
