According to a recent source, The Batman 2 is still safe despite the significant changes James Gunn and Peter Safran are bringing about at DC Studios. Robert Pattinson's portrayal of Bruce Wayne in The Batman earlier this year marked the return of The Dark Knight to the big screen. The most recent Batman remake, directed by Matt Reeves, concentrated on a younger Bruce during his second year as Gotham City's famous vigilante.

The Batman 2 won't be affected by DC Studios' evaluation of their intentions for the DC Universe, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The trade reports that Reeves' sequel, which received approval earlier this year, is secure and won't be affected by Gunn and Safran, who are leading the charge for DC Studios. Additionally, this won't have an impact on Reeves' spinoff programs based on the Batman universe, such as the upcoming The Penguin HBO Max drama. DC Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery have not yet responded to the news with any comments.

Jason Momoa might take on a new role in the DC Universe following allegations that DC Studios is drastically reorganizing the series. A new approach is being taken by the DCU (formerly known as the DCEU), since DC Studios was formally established on November 1. The newly created division, which takes the place of Walter Hamada's DC Films, was given James Gunn and Peter Safran as co-CEOs. New reports have prompted questions for some of the active franchises as the duo continues to develop their 10-year strategy for the DCU.

The DCU is apparently undergoing a significant redesign by DC Studios, and one of the effects is notably felt by the Aquaman series. After his 2023 sequel, Momoa, who has played the Justice League-based hero since 2016, reportedly has no other Aquaman movies in the works. The Hollywood Reporter learned that the Aquaman actor would take the starring role in a different DC-based film series. Momoa, Safran, Gunn, or any other Warner Bros. employees. Until now, Discovery has not responded to the reports.

Hissrich encountered criticism for the series after posting to Instagram to promote The Witcher: Blood Origin, a spinoff of The Witcher. The showrunner promised that season 3 will incorporate more of Sapkowski's source material while taking the time to respond to a handful of them in an effort to defend her work. Speaking to E! News in advance of Babylon's release, Margot Robbie admits that one crucial sequence in the movie, in which she has a kiss with Pitt, was not originally planned and was entirely created by the actress. According to Robbie, she persuaded Chazelle to allow her to film a kiss with Pitt, and because of the impulsive nature of her character, the improvised scene ultimately worked and was included in the final cut. In a interview with 'The Hollywood Reporter' Charlize Theron admitted that she wasn't a fan of the MCU until taking on the role of Clea in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She later recognized she had been mistaken to bash the films without first watching any of them after spending some time going through them. Read her full quote below:

They’re crazy Marvel fans, and I always used to make fun of them. Like, 'Oh my God, you guys are such f***ing nerds.' You ever wonder why we haven't seen any new 'Friday' films well here's why.

Speaking on Mike Tyson's Hotboxin' show, Ice Cube was open and honest about his thoughts on Warner Bros. and their acquisition of the Friday brand (via Variety). Cube appears to be irritated by the problems with the movie rights since he wants to make a fourth picture but the studio is taking its time. Additionally, he flatly declines to pay them for the rights, claiming that "that's dumb." One thing is certain, though: Ice Cube is determined to have a fourth film made. The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has addressed the fan outrage to Henry Cavill's resignation, which has left many understandably heartbroken. The actor's departure from the popular Netflix fantasy series has been the talk of the town for the past month. His announcement followed his return to the DC Universe as Superman in Black Adam, and there are plans for him to remain in a significant role in that universe as well. The Witcher season 4 was announced simultaneously with the loss of its lead actor, Liam Hemsworth, however the idea has not been well received by the show's audience.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich discussed Henry Cavill's exit from the franchise while chatting with TechRadar about the upcoming prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin. She appealed for the fan backlash to stop, even though she preferred to keep the spotlight on the impending concert and acknowledged his departure as a "huge thing" for the team. Over the years, fans would always speculate and wonder if Nickelodeon's 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' and James Cameron's 'Avatar' ever had any connections towards one another and it finally looks like we got our answer with one of the directors from the original animated series 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' addressing this matter.

In a twitter post director Giancarlo Volpe addressed this matter by saying:

"In 2004 we learned that we had to change the name of our show from “Avatar” to “Avatar the Last Airbender” because James Cameron already had the rights to a movie called Avatar.

Now the sequel is called “The Way of Water.”

James Cameron ruled out the likelihood of an Avatar TV series coming anytime soon in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. He thinks a show would be viable in another ten years, but one is not currently planned. Check out his full statement below:

"The problem with these CG characters is that they’re so cost- and labor-intensive that it really doesn’t work for TV. Now, come back in 10 years, with a lot of machine deep learning. Actor Keanu Reeves, who plays John Wick, has officially revealed the setting of the first John Wick spinoff 'Ballerina'. The John Wick franchise will continue to grow in 2023 with the release of John Wick: Chapter 4 in March and its spinoff movie, Ballerina, scheduled for later in the year, though an official release date has not yet been announced. It has been revealed that Reeves will return to the role of the Boogeyman in the spinoff, which will star Ana de Armas.

Now, Reeves has revealed the date of the spinoff during a recent visit at CCXP (via HyperOmelete). While some viewers might have thought it would take place after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4, the actor confirms that this is not the case. Check out his full quote below:

The popular beat 'em up video game Sifu will be turned into a feature film, with John Wick creator Derek Kolstad writing the script. The first three John Wick films, Nobody, an action thriller from 2021, and two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier were all written by Kolstad. A martial arts student's mission to avenge his father's death is the subject of Sifu, a game created by the French studio Sloclap. The game was well-received for its innovative gaming mechanics and combat, and it was nominated for numerous industry awards.

Following the successful release of the video game in early 2022, Sloclap will collaborate with media company Story Kitchen to create a full film adaptation of Sifu, according to Deadline. Derek Kolstad, who created John Wick, will write the screenplay for the movie and will collaborate with producer Dmitri M. Johnson, who previously served as a producer on both 2018's Tomb Raider and the popular Sonic the Hedgehog movie series. Kolstad and Johnson's participation has been confirmed, although the film is currently without a director and there is no expected release date.

The HBO adaptation's creators for the The Last of Us show promise that the plot will contain mind-blowing new surprises. The upcoming 10-episode television series is based on the well-liked, award-winning video game of the same name and centers on the relationship between grizzled survivor Joel Miller (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl who has a built-in resistance to the fungal infection that has infected the entire world and brought about a zombie apocalypse. Joel and his colleague Tess (Anna Torv) decide to take Ellie across the hostile nation to the Fireflies, a militant revolutionary group that wants to use Ellie's immunity to develop a treatment that could save the world.

While speaking at this year's CCXP in São Paulo (via Hyper Omelete), Druckmann and Mazin teased surprises the audience in the upcoming The Last of Us HBO television series adaptation. When asked if knowing of the video game's conclusion would alter the audience's enjoyment of the show, Mazin responded that new developments in the plot will "blow" viewers' heads. The executive producer of The Walking Dead, Greg Nicotero, describes how the franchise's original plan for a trilogy of films starring Rick Grimes changed into the Rick and Michonne spinoff series that will eventually debut in 2023. The Walking Dead's main lead, Rick, was announced to make a comeback in a trilogy of movies to explain his absence after a six-year time leap in the main series by AMC following his arrest by the CRM in season 9, episode 5. The movies were shelved earlier this year and replaced by a Rick and Michonne-led spinoff, which will not only detail what happened to Rick following his capture but also Michonne's search for him.

Nicotero discusses the decision-making process behind developing the Rick Grimes movie trilogy into a spinoff TV show on 'Den of Geek's Talking Strange podcast.' He claims that although the first movie scripts had been produced, the films' production just didn't work out. Check out his full quote below:

“Several iterations of the [movie] script flew around and it just ended up not coming to fruition. The idea of doing a Rick Grimes show popped up a year and a half ago probably. I don’t think anybody really thought it was gonna happen. Now that Daryl Dixon has arrived in Europe, further information about him has been revealed by Reedus himself, hinting to the intense feeling of being a fish out of water that will ensue.

The first teaser for The Last of Us teased a highly faithful adaptation of the game by focusing on the road trip setting and the introduction of Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Ramsey). In HBO Max's most recent trailer for the show, which provides a more thorough look at several exciting aspects of the video-game-based series, including additional images of the Clickers (one of which is a variation called a Bloater) in action as well as hints for the emotional storyline, the upcoming adaptation's faithfulness to the games is further demonstrated. The father-daughter connection between Joel and Ellie, which will change throughout the series, is the main emphasis of the most recent trailer for The Last of Us.
