Blind Betrayal by Denise Elaine Montgomery is a suspense-driven read about a love that turned sour. Lenny plans to leave for college in a few weeks. He has been in a relationship with Andrea, the most beautiful and popular girl in his school, since the tenth grade. While any other guy in the school would give anything to be in his shoes, Lenny would do anything to be free of Andrea. For years they've been doing everything together, and it's been suffocating him. He can't wait to go to a faraway college to meet new people, make new friends, and maybe even start dating a new girl. However, Andrea is determined to take their relationship past high school, even if it means hurting herself and those closest to her.
Blind Betrayal by Denise Elaine Montgomery is an entertaining and exciting read, perfect for fantasy and dark romance lovers. The plot is engaging, and it's hard to stop reading once you start. Everything changes after the graduation ceremony as unrequited love quickly turns into feelings of pain and grief. Desperation, obsession, and misunderstanding soon take over, and love turns to blackmail, confrontation, and eventually vengeance. Even though there are not many characters in the book, they are well-developed and interesting to follow. From Lenny's mom, who has her son's best interests at heart and will go to great lengths to ensure his safety and future, to Jay, who is always warm and a true friend, you will never be short of favorites. There are also fast-paced action scenes that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended.
