Blind Betrayal by Denise Elaine Montgomery is a suspense-driven read about a love that turned sour. Lenny plans to leave for college in a few weeks. He has been in a relationship with Andrea, the most beautiful and popular girl in his school, since the tenth grade. While any other guy in the school would give anything to be in his shoes, Lenny would do anything to be free of Andrea. For years they've been doing everything together, and it's been suffocating him. He can't wait to go to a faraway college to meet new people, make new friends, and maybe even start dating a new girl. However, Andrea is determined to take their relationship past high school, even if it means hurting herself and those closest to her.

Blind Betrayal by Denise Elaine Montgomery is an entertaining and exciting read, perfect for fantasy and dark romance lovers. The plot is engaging, and it's hard to stop reading once you start. Everything changes after the graduation ceremony as unrequited love quickly turns into feelings of pain and grief. Desperation, obsession, and misunderstanding soon take over, and love turns to blackmail, confrontation, and eventually vengeance. Even though there are not many characters in the book, they are well-developed and interesting to follow. From Lenny's mom, who has her son's best interests at heart and will go to great lengths to ensure his safety and future, to Jay, who is always warm and a true friend, you will never be short of favorites. There are also fast-paced action scenes that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended.

The first segment of my new trilogy, The Blind Spot, is Janna Lindley's story. Janna is a quiet, naive girl from the streets of South Dallas. Life was dull, routine, and boring; until David. After that, life has never been the same.
Five years have passed. David has an important business meeting in the mountains of West Texas, far away from civilization. Janna's inner voices warn that it's not a good idea to go, but Janna knows her relationship is riding on this trip. How will Janna cope with the revelation, deceptions, and betrayal that the West Texas trip reveals?
Blind Spots are times when you're in the dark; you know something isn't quite right, but you can't put your finger on the problem. That's when you find yourself in a Blind Spot.

The State Fair of Texas has a history of segregation dating back to 1889. In 1910 the planners of the fair set aside the second Monday in October as Colored's Peoples Day. It was later changed to Negro Achievement Day. On this day a trailer was set up near the entrance of the fair for people to walk through and view the important achievement of Negros during that time.
It's October of 1965. I waited all year for a chance to visit the State Fair. My grandmother took the six of us to the fair every year. She would load the grandkids on the bus with greasy sacks of chicken and fried potatoes to eat during our visit; I later realized we had to take our food because Grandma wasn't certain that we would be served at the fair. The second Monday in October finally arrived; by 10:00am the rain was coming down in sheets. My grandmother told us that we wouldn't be attending the fair this year. We would have to wait another year. I was heartbroken. Why did I have to wait for another year? Why couldn't we go another day in October? After all the fair was here for the entire month of October. I learned the answers to all my questions a few years later, but the memory of that day haunted me. So In 2019, I wrote a fictionalized version of my experienced. I Want to Go is a delightful, intriguing, and fast-paced look at the life of ten-year-old Rene Thompson, a gifted adolescent with a vivid imagination, whose one desire is to visit the fair. Rene's one problem is her mother's friends and nosey neighbors are doing all they can to convince her that it is too dangerous for colored folks to travel to Dallas for the fair. Will Rene get her chance to visit the fair? I Want to Go is available at www.denisemontgomery.org or where ever fine books are sold. Five Star review from Reader's Favorite. Get your copy today!
