Hey folks! Mo here 👦🏼 As I have shared on our podcast and in our parenting circles, I was raised in Evangelical Christian Nationalism. I left the church after years of living a life of excruciating abuse and keeping my queer and transgender identity a secret. Though I am no longer a Christian, I have felt utter disgust about how Trump has used Christianity and has amplified the worst people and calling them Christians. I know some really good Christian folks. They don't live the way Trump does. Thye don't share his beliefs.
This woman is incredibly brave. I know first hand how hard it is to break with Church leadership and stand against abuse and corruption. Watching this video healed a tiny part of my inner child who needed women like this one to take bold action and reject abusive leaders.
She shares about a church leader abusing her. And she is transforming that trauma into power. I think that is how we heal.
