Mid-day high resolution model goes BOOM for snow in many areas and farther south. ICE WILL MIX! Unfortunately, it will make for a SNOW--->SLEET--->FREEZING RAIN sandwich. Please be careful out there as the snow will turn to an ice rink at some point tomorrow for many areas. How are you all doing? Ready? I'll keep you posted!

Eighth Circuit Court Judge Don Hocker Tuesday refused to swear in newly-elected Laurens County Council Member Arthur L. Philson Jr.
In a packed courthouse at the Hillcrest Square Judicial Center in Laurens, Hocker swore in new council members Justin Lane of Joanna and Matthew Brownlee of Hickory Tavern, along with returning council member Shirley Clark.
Hocker gave no reason for not swearing Philson in.
The first meeting of the newly-constituted council is scheduled for Monday.
County Council Chairman Brown Patterson last week challenged the voter registration of both Philson and his wife.
That complaint will be heard Friday morning by the Laurens County Voter Registration and Elections Commission.
Hocker also swore in the clerk of court, the coroner and Laurens County Sheriff Don Reynolds.
When Hocker announced he would not swear in Philson, Laurens County activist Rev. David Kennedy said the decision was racism.
Hocker asked Sheriff Reynolds to es**rt Philson and Kennedy from the courtroom.
